Escaping The NXIVM Cult: Trailer For The Allison Mack Movie

In the upcoming Lifetime Original Movie Escaping The NXIVM Cult: A Mother’s Fight To Save Her Daughter, actress Sara Fletcher plays the role of Smallville alum Allison Mack in a film based on Catherine Oxenberg’s book Captive which is about the “sex cult” NXIVM led by Keith Raniere that Allison sadly became a major part of.

In April, Allison Mack pleaded guilty to racketeering and racketeering conspiracy charges after federal prosecutors accused her of helping Raniere lure women into NXIVM by claiming the cult was “a female mentorship group.”

Peter Facinelli plays cult leader Keith Raniere in the movie which will air September 21 at 8PM on the Lifetime cable network, and with the film less than a month away, Lifetime has now released a trailer, which features some scenes of Sara Fletcher playing Allison. You can see that trailer below.

This movie to close to home i was her Neighbke for 4 years saw alot plus keith lived across from me and said some rhings ro me rhat i wont forget

Wtf?! I can understand a documentary being made about the whole sordid affair, but the thought of another actress playing Allison in a movie about the cult is extraordinarily creepy to me. It's like I've entered into a weird paranormal parallel universe or something. I feel it's too soon for them to be making a movie about it. Sure, it's got to stay topical, but too soon. Too soon.
