Dean Cain & Helen Slater To Appear In The Supergirl Pilot

TVLine broke a big one this morning…

Dean Cain, who played Clark Kent/Superman in Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, and Helen Slater, who played Supergirl in the movie of the same name, will be in the CBS Supergirl pilot.

This is not a drill.

No details are known yet as to who they will be playing. As Alura, Kara’s Kryptonian mother, has already been cast with Laura Benanti, perhaps they are playing Jor-El and Lara, Kara’s uncle and aunt? (Interestingly enough, that’s the role Slater played on Smallville.) Or, maybe they are the adoptive parents of Kara on Earth, the Danvers?
