If you’re going to Creation’s 25th Anniversary Salute to Smallville convention in Nashville this November, you might want to make an early stop at the merchandise booth in the vendors’ era, as there will be a very special piece of Smallville merch available to purchase!
Earlier this year, Creation hosted a 60th anniversary Star Trek event in Las Vegas, and a T-shirt designed by IDW Comics artist Vernon Smith was an instant sell-out… so good, actually, that they had to get more made before convention’s end! Judging from what we have to show you, this might similarly sell out…
What is it, you ask?
Creation commissioned Vernon Smith to make this one-of-a-kind Smallville artwork that will be seen on merch at Salute. This image features this year’s convention guests as caricatures in the style of Star Trek: Lower Decks. Wonder what Clark, Lana, Lex, Lois & co. would look like in that world? Vernon’s got you. It’s obvious also that Vernon is a fan of the show and it shines through his work. Even show creators Alfred Gough and Miles Millar are on there! We don’t want to reveal the whole design before they do, so here, we’re showing you just as much as they’ve put in their announcement e-mail.
There will be other design options for merch at the event, but again… be sure to get in and get in early! If you haven’t gotten your Salute to Smallville tickets yet or would like to learn more, visit Creation’s website.
