Returns To The WB!
Green
Arrow, New Whedon Series Also
On Fall Line-Up
With
Season Seven, Smallville will be changing networks yet
again.
The
Warner Brothers studio as well as CBS, co-owners of the CW, have
parted ways. The CW will remain the same but all Warner productions
will be on a new station - a revived WB.
 The
New WB will be setting up shop on stations formerly housed by
MyNetworkTV. Smallville
will remain on Thursdays as part of the New WB's "Superheroes
Night" which teams the series with a new Green Arrow
spin-off starring Justin Hartley.
Because
the network is new, programming will only be seen on three nights:
Sunday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Should the New WB be a success,
expect them to expand.
A
key new part of The New WB's schedule is a new series, Fray,
created by Joss Whedon and based on the Dark Horse comic of
the same name. Fray takes place in the future of Buffy
the Vampire Slayer lore.
Here's
a preliminary look at the network line-up, as leaked to Hollywood
Variety and printed in tonight's
editions. Absent from both line-ups, sadly, is Veronica
Mars, which is shooting a special series finale scheduled
to air on The CW May 22.
