When she was 12 years old, Kara Zor-El escaped the doomed planet Krypton and was sent to Earth where she was protected and raised by her foster parents, Jeremiah (Dean Cain) and Eliza Danvers (Helen Slater) and her foster sister, Alex (Chyler Leigh).  Under their supervision, Kara learned to conceal the phenomenal powers she shares with her famous cousin, Superman (Tyler Hoechlin), in order to keep her identity a secret.

Years later, Kara was living a “normal” life in National City, assisting media mogul and fierce taskmaster Cat Grant (Calista Flockhart) and working with her famous friend, photographer James Olsen (Mehcad Brooks), who Grant hired away from Metropolis’s Daily Planet. When Alex’s life was threatened in a plane crash, Kara took to the sky to rescue her.  In the aftermath, Kara decided she could no longer sit on the sidelines and came out as Supergirl.  She now balances her job as a reporter at CatCo Worldwide Media with her work at the Department of Extra-Normal Operations (DEO), a super-secret government agency run by J’onn J’onzz/the Martian Manhunter (David Harewood), where Alex also works, as does Kara’s good friend Winn Schott (Jeremy L. Jordan).  In Season One, Supergirl soared – fighting crime and battling various villains. In Season Two, Supergirl continued to come into her own as America’s hero, while finding a new best friend in Lex Luthor’s sister, Lena Luthor (Katie McGrath) and finding love with rakish alien Mon-El (Chris Wood), who she inspired to be a hero. In the end though, Kara was forced to sacrifice this love in order to save National City from an alien invasion.

Now, in Season Three, Kara is grappling with the sacrifices she’s made and deciding if she should give up her human identity altogether. Being human and vulnerable is hard. Maybe she’s better off embracing her alien DNA and only being the “Girl of Steel.” As Kara struggles with her path forward, she continues to work with the DEO to battle all threats to National City, including new villains Morgan Edge (Adrian Pasdar), and the “Worldkiller,” known as Reign (Odette Annable).

Superman & Lois Finishes Backlot Filming; Finale Photos & Guests

Filming on the Superman & Lois backlot has wrapped and new photos and guest stars have leaked for the finale.

Published

We’re down to the final days of production for Superman & Lois and Elizabeth Tulloch has shared on her Instagram story that they have finished filming on the Cloverdale backlot that was built for the show in 2020. Interestingly, she also pointed out that the backlot will soon be used for a major project. No word on what show will be taking over the lot, but she says the show is “very prestigious.”

Next up, via “flashfacts4real” on Instagram who shared the photos from Canadagraphs, some shots from the finale filming! Several not-yet-announced returning faces who were no longer series regulars seem to be present. It’s very interesting that we see a fairly beat-up Superman in one shot; we’re also fascinated by the “25 Years of Steelworks Industries” shot which shows artwork of John Henry Irons (Wolé Parks) in a look and a suit very reminiscent of the comics, complete with the red cape and the “S.” The “25 years” makes us wonder… are we getting a flash-forward in the final episode? That could be quite interesting, especially if we get to see what happens to the Kent family in the decades to come. It may also provide a good bookend for the series premiere which explored their past.

Another returning actor has been confirmed for the Superman & Lois series finale.

We had already seen that Tayler Buck (Natalie) would be back for the finale; now also via Instagram we see that Emmanuelle Chriqui (Lana Lang) will be back for the final episode as well.

“SO many emotions… much more later,” she captioned it.

Tyler Hoechlin (Clark), Elizabeth Tulloch (Lois), Alex Garfin (Jordan), Michael Bishop (Jonathan), and Michael Cudlitz (Lex Luthor) are the only series regulars who will be returning in that status for the final season, but most of the actors not on that list, including Chriqui, Buck, Wolé Parks, Dylan Walsh, Sofia Hasmik, and Erik Valdez, are expected to make guest appearances in Season 4.

As revealed earlier this week by Bitsie Tulloch, the series finale is called “It Went By So Fast.” The fourth and final season will consist of only ten episodes, with the last one currently filming as we speak. Superman & Lois Season 4 is scheduled to premiere this Fall on The CW; follow @KryptonSite on Twitter/X for continued updates about the new season! Season three of SUPERMAN & LOIS opens weeks after Superman’s blowout defeat of Ally Allston. Clark (Tyler Hoechlin) and Lois (Elizabeth Tulloch) are now working at the Smallville Gazette together and enjoying small town life. But the Kents’ romantic bliss only shines a light on how isolating “the secret” can be, as Chrissy (Sofia Hasmik) struggles to balance a new love interest and her friendship with Lois. However, Lois’ own work-life balance is put to the test when an undercover assignment reveals a deadly foe that promises to change the Kent family forever. Superman would move heaven and earth for his family, but with a villain this merciless, even that might not be enough. Meanwhile, the Kent boys find themselves being pulled in opposite directions as Jordan (Alex Garfin) discovers what a superhero-identity really means and Jonathan (Michael Bishop) searches for purpose beyond the football field. Amid all this upheaval, John Henry (Wolé Parks) is haunted by his doppelgänger’s past, leading to dangerous consequences for him and Natalie (Tayler Buck). Lana Lang (Emmanuelle Chriqui) and Kyle (Erik Valdez) redefine their family post-separation, while Sarah (Inde Navarrette) explores what the future holds for her and Jordan now that she knows the truth about his powers. Having learned the hard way that no one else can be trusted to work with Superman, General Samuel Lane (Dylan Walsh) reclaims his post at the Department of Defense, only to face his own conflict in working with his grandson, Jordan.

SUPERMAN & LOIS stars Tyler Hoechlin as Clark Kent/Superman, Elizabeth Tulloch as Lois Lane, Alex Garfin as Jordan Kent, Michael Bishop as Jonathan Kent, Alexander Erik Valdez as Kyle Cushing, Inde Navarrette as Sarah Cushing, Wolé Parks as Henry Irons, Tayler Buck as Natalie Irons Sofia Hasmik as Chrissy Beppo, Chad L. Coleman as Bruno Mannheim, with Dylan Walsh as General Samuel Lane and Emmanuelle Chriqui as Lana Lang Cushing.
