"Lucy" Music Spotlight: The Speechwriters LLC
The song "Spaghetti Streetwalker" by a group called the Speechwriters LLC could be heard in this week's new episode "Lucy," in the scene in the Talon with Lois, Lucy, Clark, Lex, and Chloe. Here's a bio of the band that was provided to us:

Speechwriters LLC is The Everyband, an unassuming acoustic pop group from Claremont, CA with enough down-home charm and jaw-dropping lyrical prowess to catch even the most jaded listener's undivided attention and hold it for days. What began as a two man coffeehouse act has slowly but surely evolved into a bona fide underground phenomenon, thanks in no small part to the fact that the LLC has been touring incessantly since their first show in early 2001.

Their vibe is often compared to that of Dispatch or Jack Johnson, their sound an unholy fusion of Nick Drake and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Sometimes a duo, sometimes a quartet, the boys' master plan involves reaping the untouchable street cred of the North American folk singer, while simultaneously enjoying the benefits of being rock stars, but also not having to carry amps, and ultimately just getting girls to like them.

"We're all very grateful to everyone involved with Smallville for putting us on the show - it's been terrific exposure, and we're ecstatic to be involved with such a genuinely good series," band member Dave Lowensohn tells KryptonSite.
