Season 4 DVD: Deleted Scenes!
The
Smallville
Season
Four DVD set, due to be released September 13, features
over a dozen deleted scenes from Smallville's fourth
season.
Unfortunately
with a broadcast show like Smallville, some very good
scenes end up removed from the episode, usually due to time
constraints. Thanks to the joy of DVD, that material is now
available for all to see. Here are some details for you on what
deleted material you can look forward to on the set...
 "Gone"
- Clark, Lois, and Chloe talk about Chloe's return and Chloe
seems amused by the Clark and Lois interaction. Lana shows up
and tells Chloe "never to do that again." This is
the first deleted scene you see on the Season Four set, and
by far the best.
"Facade"
- Abby and her mother talk outside of Smallville High School.
- Clark asks Abby if she was with Brett before his accident.
They both talk about "fitting in."
"Devoted"
- Jason surprises Lana with a candlelit dinner.
"Jinx"
- Clark and Lana discuss Jason.
"Spell"
- There's a scene shortly before Lois arrives, where Clark talks
to Martha before she leaves town. Very "Risky Business."

Chloe, Clark, and Lois talk about the aftermath of the party
and what exactly Clark may have seen. Clark and Lois give Chloe
a special birthday gift - even though gift wrapping is not one
of Clark's super-powers.
- Jason and Lana also talk about what happened earlier in the
episode when "Isobel" attacked him.
"Bound"
- Corinne confronts Chloe and Clark in the Torch hallway. Listen
carefully; Clark accidentally refers to Lex as "Clex."
"Scare"
- Lionel plays chess in prison with his prison mates, and then
gives them a lecture about strategy and knocking off the competition.
It's a big "born again Lionel" scene, where John Glover
gives a very convincing performance.

The infamous Lex "wedding" dream that was detailed
in spoilers last year is seen... but it's not Lana who is under
the veil, it is Lex's mother! A really powerful scene where
Lillian blames Lex for everything that has happened in the past.
"Pariah"
- Clark and Alicia are driving to the Talon. A comment is made
about Alicia's scarf, and Alicia talks about how she's a little
scared of the idea of singing karaoke with his friends.
- Lana and Jason talk. Lana tells Jason that seeing Alicia was
hard, considering the events of last season.
- Jason confronts Alicia at the barn and warns her to stay away
from Lana. He threatens Alicia if she does not comply.
"Krypto"
- Clark looks at the mess Shelby has made with his super strength.
- Lionel and Genevieve meet and talk about Lionel's "debt."
Wait until you hear how John Glover says "Genevieve."
"Sacred"
- Lex sees several Kryptonian symbols, including Lana's tattoo
symbol, on a piece of clothing.
"Onyx"
- Alexander shoots a guard at a security gate. Rosenbaum fans
will love this scene, as it is Alexander at his best.
- The Kents and Clark discuss the difference between Clark's
dark side ("Kal") and Lex's.
"Blank"
- The Kents tell Clark that they weren't sure what they'd have
done or what they would have told him if his memory did not
return.
- Chloe uses Veronica Mars-like tactics to get into Summerholt.
