"Same old Lois. Still can't admit you don't know everything."

NEW "LEX LUTHOR" READY FOR THE ROLE
By Craig Byrne

A search through the web for information on actor Michael Rosenbaum (who will be playing 21-year-old Lex Luthor in "Smallville") found an interview Rosenbaum did with the UltimateTV website several years ago. [UltimateTV is now known as Zap2it.com]

UltimateTV asked Rosenbaum what kind of acting work could tempt him. "I want to do more dramatic roles - some that can really push me. I want to do a role that's a stretch. I like to change who I am, how I look... I'm willing to do anything. I always wanted to be Han Solo... maybe they can do a 'Star Wars' showing Han Solo being born and growing up."

Since Rosenbaum will likely be shaving his head for the role, this might be exactly what he had in mind.

RANDOM NEWS...

* One of the pilots ABC is considering for Fall 2001 will be called "Metropolis." It's an ensemble drama, with no relation to Superman or anything of the sort, but it seems all of Superman's hometowns are showing up. What's on tap for next year... "Gotham?"

* Warner Bros. has registered "SmallvilleTV.com," so chances are that's where the official "Smallville" site will be found a few months before the show hits the air.

"KERTH AWARDS" THIS WEEKEND
The Lois & Clark Fanfiction Kerth Awards are here again! The ceremony will be on the IRC Saturday afternoon at 5PM (ET). For more information, consult the Kerths home page at http://www.ida.net/users/davek/kerths.html

It's been said that there were a lot of good stories that went out last year -- even over three years after the cancellation. Good luck to everyone involved!

"SPY KIDS" PREMIERES NEXT WEEK!
Just another reminder that Teri Hatcher's new movie "Spy Kids" should be hitting theaters Friday, March 30. It appears that she is playing a villain, and those of you with kids might win both ways -- you get to see Teri, and your children get to see a fun film!

AIRING ON MONDAY: "REQUIEM FOR A SUPERHERO"
Sam Lane wasn't always the way he appeared to be in later "Lois & Clark" episodes such as "Home Is Where The Hurt Is," when played by Harve Presnell. When his character first appeared, he was somewhat mean, which would explain why Lois and Ellen Lane turned out the way they did. Played by Denis Arndt, you just really didn't like this guy, and you could meet him in the first-season "L&C" episode "Requiem for a Superhero." It's on Monday morning at 8AM (ET) on TNT.

TRIVIA

What was Dean Cain's birth name?

Send your answers to
PlanetKrypton@aol.com! The answer to last issue's trivia: The frogs stolen in the "L&C" episode "I Now Pronounce You" were Doppelbufo (sp.) frogs. FlicVic sent in the answer, "tiny, slimy, and (apparently) yummy ones! :-)"
