 Lionel's
Hair & A Kryptonite Key To Benefit Charity!
The
Alzheimer's Association of Maryland has sent us a press release
regarding the upcoming Memory Walk which John Glover (Lionel)
will be participating in in memory of his father, Jack
Glover.
They
have now decided to throw in an incentive to fans to raise money
for the event and help John pass his $5,000 goal - a very rare
Kryptonite key with a lock of Lionel's hair inside. You all
might remember the end of "Covenant" where Lionel's
mane was gotten rid of - well, John, in the wisdom that we know
he has, decided to save the hair and use it as a way to raise
money and awareness for the charity. Here is the official press

LIONEL'S KRYPTONITE KEY
For
five years, John Glover has become a wonderful friend to the
Alzheimer's Association, Greater Maryland Chapter. He has
supported the chapter through generous donations, obtaining
unique items to auction, as well as jackglover.org; a website
to raise funds for Memory Walk. Being touched personally by
the disease, John's dedication to funding research and local
programs has been relentless. His father, Jack Glover passed
away from the disease several years ago and has motivated
John to actively help in the fight against Alzheimer's disease.
Originally
from Salisbury on Maryland's Eastern Shore, John has always
made time in his demanding schedule to attend the walk. This
year he will be again attending the walk on October 2nd at
the Elks Lodge in Salisbury Maryland.
This
year you too can join John in raising funds through Memory
Walk through jackglover.org. You don't have to walk to help.
You can sign up to be on John's team and ask your friends,
family members, and more to support your efforts. Simply go
to jackgover.org and click on join my team. You will be able
to set up your own webpage connected to John's, display a
picture of yourself or who you are walking for, and an explanation
of why you are helping. You can then send emails to all of
your friends and family members who can sponsor you and immediately
make a payment to your site.
Each
person who raises at least $50 will receive a Memory Walk
t-shirt, if you raise $100 we will mail you a long sleeve
Memory Walk t-shirt, if you raise $250 John will personally
sign the shirt. As an additional incentive to raise the most
money on John's site, you will win Lionel's Kryptonite Key
complete with a lock of John's locks from last seasons' episode
of Smallville. This exclusive item is definitely a collectors'
item and is limited to only a few.
So
