Generally as a rule, you’ll notice KryptonSite’s Man of Steel News section has been avoiding posting paparazzi photos and that sort of thing. Others do it better than we do, but also, in most cases it’s probably best to see things all finished, as they are supposed to look.
Today, we’re making an exception as some images of Henry Cavill in the new movie Superman costume have made their way online. And… well… see what you think.
Personally, I think it needs some red underwear.

IrinaI think it might be a prototype of some sort, considering that people say that this movie is going to be about the origins of Superman, maybe the suit will change by the end of the movie. In the 1st Spiderman there was also a crappy suit when he was still figuring out what to wear. Or at least that’s what I’m hoping. Let’s keep our fingers crossed

DeshawnI have never seen a superman star on set keep that cape on all the time it get’s in the way and the underwear has been one os superheroes most iconic yet most trashed part to the suit and are about as useful as the bat nipples.

FeydPretty good looking suit. As far as the undershorts missing: good riddance. Supes needs an updated, modern look. The cape is iconic and in most shots will probably be CG’d in. Other than a couple scenes in (cringe) Superman Returns, most of those cape shots were CG. Eventually I think we’ll get to a place where people are comfortable with him not having a cape.

RonnieWherever Superman goes I’ll be there. I love the suit. His “assets” are a bit distracting but other than that the suit looks great. I love the way the \S/ shield looks and while traditional Superman has the red underwear I don’t mind. I’m giving the DC New 52 a chance (which Superman is left without the red underwear as well) which is why I don’t have a problem with it in the MOS film.

markI think this is so cool. I am so glad they got rid of the damn underpants. This look is so bad ass. Then when they add the cape, yes it will totally look like a true super hero and not a circus acrobat(Robin’s original costume) This does not look like armor at all so it stands to reason that his costume in the comics will not be armor either.

Even though I am an “Old School Superman Fan”, I am very okay without the red trunks anymore… similar to the new Superman costume at DC Comics.
However, I still prefer Superman’s cape to show the “S LOGO”.
I have a feeling this new upcoming SUPERMAN MOVIE will be GREAT!

The weird rubber “guantlets” and design running up the waist and rips are goofy to me. Idk whatever as long as the movie is rad if not then S.O.B they got it wrong again! charlesI think it´s really cool! The batman´s movie suit is also different, in comics it´s grey and in the movie black. As the green lantern suit of the movie is not the same as the one of de comic book…
This superman suit is different and that s a good point.
Many people didn´t like the superman returns costume that was like the one of the comic with some changes that were good, for example the symbol on the belt, the symbol (i like it, maybe it should have been a little bit bigger but it was cool)…the red color was darker, the cape didn´t have de S…. but the suit it was preatty like the comic book suit.
We will never agreed with the changes that they make because we all have different likes, many people want the suit to be exacly like the original suit while others will preffer some changes!
Then if the movie is good like the batman secuele, the suit is going to be awesome too and bla bla bla!!
