Michael
Rosenbaum In Smallville Magazine #5
An
exclusive interview with Michael Rosenbaum is the lead
feature of Titan's Official Smallville Magazine, which
is now hitting newsstands.
The
issue also features a text piece written by Michael's mom, Julie
Rosenbaum-Engelhardt, that includes a picture of her, Michael,
and his younger brother, Eric.
Here
are some highlights from Michael's interview with Paul Simpson:
On
fan reaction to Lex going bad:
"I don't know if all of the fans are ready, because
some of the time when I see fans or bump into them, they're
always telling me that they love Lex, and they don't want him
to turn evil. And then there's the other side, the fans who
can't wait for him to turn evil. But for me as an actor, it's
fun to have a little taste of that."
Was
Lionel driving Lex mad?
"If you ask John Glover he'll say 'Lionel is innocent,
I would only assume that he's trying to teach Lex, he loves
him' and I just think that's crap! I do - there's a threshold
to the abuse. Lionel pushes that every day."
On
Lex and ulterior motives:
"Lex probably does have some ulterior motives, because
there are a lot of ulterior motives in the Luthor family. Perhaps
by putting his father away, he thinks people will see him in
a different light. People will say 'He put this monster away.
Maybe Lex isn't that bad.' - but at the same time maybe they're
thinking, 'Wow, what a monster? What kind of monster puts his
father away?' There's a double entendre to everything."
Also
in the interview Michael shares a very interesting story relating
to the filming of "Shattered," and there are highlights
of Lex Luthor's essential moments.
In
addition to the Rosenbaum features, Smallville
Magazine
#5 includes new interviews with Margot Kidder (Dr. Crosby) and
Kyle Gallner (Bart Allen), a new feature about Ezra Small which
even includes a K-Site shoutout, a look at the Kawatche caves,
and more. Look for it to be hitting newsstands now.
