Upcoming Superman TV Show DVD's Now Available To Pre-Order; Including Lois & Clark Season 3!!
Amazon.com is now listing the Superman-related TV show DVD's due to be released by Warner Home Video on June 20, 2006.

Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman: The Complete Third Season picks up where the Season Two DVD left off - Clark has proposed to Lois Lane and she has a shocking surprise for him. Season 3 features return appearances by John Shea as Lex Luthor and Lane Davies as Tempus, among others.

We have learned that Dean Cain has recorded an interview for the DVD and he'll look quite different - he had bleached blond hair at the time! We imagine there will be commentary tracks announced momentarily as well.

But that's not all! Seasons 3 and 4 of The Adventures of Superman will be released on that same day, June 20, in a two-season set... in their original color presentation. New volumes of the Superman animated series and the Justice League animated series are coming too; however, those are not yet listed on Amazon.

Pre-order Adventures of Superman Seasons 3 & 4

The final set to be released on June 20 is long-awaited... Season One of the late 1980's syndicated Superboy television series, which has not been seen in American syndication in over 10 years. Superboy Season One featured a very different Clark Kent's college days, with John Haymes-Newton as Clark Kent/Superboy and Stacy Haiduk as Lana Lang. Some episodes were directed by David Nutter, who directed Smallville's pilot.

Welcome Back!
Ten years ago, on January 1, 1996, the webpage of the "Lois & Clark Krypton Club" first launched.

Created as a companion to the online Krypton Club Newsletter, the Krypton Club Home Page was one of the first Lois & Clark sites on the Web.

Unfortunately a disappearing web host caused a move or two, and as you can see the graphics were very primitive, but the Krypton Club site evolved over the years into what you are now reading. In February 2001, the KryptonSite.com domain was purchased and the rest, as they say, is history. By September 2003, to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the Lois & Clark premiere, the L&C KryptonSite section was launched.

And now look at where we are - two DVD releases with more to come, Teri Hatcher and Dean Cain both on hit TV series (Desperate Housewives and Las Vegas, respectively). Now is as good of a time as ever to be a fan of Lois & Clark.

Thanks to all of you for being KryptonSite visitors, and a very special thanks goes out to all of you who remember that primitive first site and have stuck around for ten years (wow!) Here's to ten more!

DVD Review: Lois & Clark: The Complete Second Season
Season Two of Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman hits DVD shelves on Tuesday, January 17, 2006. We've been lucky enough to get a hold of an advance copy - and we liked what we saw.

Written by Russ Dimino

This entry in KryptonSite's "Many Faces Of..." series takes a look at the various actresses who have played Lois Lane over the years, from Noel Neill and Teri Hatcher all the way to Smallville's Erica Durance. To coincide with the releases of the recent Lois & Clark and Adventures of Superman DVD's, we are revisiting this classic column....

"Perry White" Actor Lane Smith Dies
It is with great sadness that we share the news that actor Lane Smith, who many fans recently became re-acquainted with on the Lois & Clark DVD set, has died this morning at the age of 69.

Smith had suffered from ALS in his later years. To fans, he will always be remembered for his portrayal of Perry White in all four seasons of Lois & Clark.

Here is the statement we received from a family member:

Hi and thanks for your concern and good wishes and prayers. We are sorry to tell you that my Uncle Lane Smith died earlier today, a blessed relief from his ALS. Thank you so much for your support.

From the Family of Lane Smith

We've set up a Lane Smith memorial thread at K-Site that you're all welcomed to post in, and we'll do our best to get it to his family so they can see how much his work was appreciated and loved.

Happy Anniversary!
Welcome to the special Lois & Clark section of KryptonSite, celebrating ten years since the series premiered on September 12, 1993.

What can you find here? The full menu is on the main page, but if you want some highlights, how about these?

  • An episode guide for Lois & Clark
  • NEW interviews with executive producer Brad Buckner, "Martha Kent" K Callan, and former production assistant and "Seconds" co-writer Corey Miller
  • Classic interviews from the Krypton Club Newsletter presented again for posterity
  • A HUGE photo gallery with over 100 photos
  • Cast biographies for every regular cast member, and a list of guest stars who passed through
  • Fan memories
  • This very news page, which will hopefully keep you up to date on L&C events
  • A look at the first draft of "Memory Lane," a story that eventually became "Seconds"
  • And much more!

We are still hoping to get in contact with more people who were involved with the series, and if all goes well, L&C KryptonSite will exist far beyond the anniversary date. If you were involved with the series as part of the cast or crew and would like to be interviewed, please send us an e-mail. There are also a few more surprises and at least one more interview lined up that we weren't able to do before launch date, so please, feel free to bookmark this page and return sometime!

Inside Lois & Clark #1: "Memory Lane"
L&C KryptonSite's very first (and hopefully not last!) column takes a look behind the scenes of Lois & Clark.

Here we take a look back at the origins of a L&C story. The episode "Seconds" was originally pitched as a story called "Memory Lane" -- with very different characters and possibly even different outcomes. Corey Miller (who is interviewed here at KryptonSite today) and Philip Chung wrote the original outline for the story before it went to John McNamara to write the teleplay. As you will see, the first version is vastly different than what came later; Version 2 was a bit more like "Seconds;" and Version 3 features a team-up between two of Lois & Clark's most popular villains.
