WELCOME!

Welcome to the second-ever Krypton Club Fanfiction Special!

Remember, if you do not wish to receive fanfiction, e-mail Krypton@clark.net or Krypton92@aol.com and tell us that you don't want the fanfic. You'll still get your twice-a-week (plus spoilers) Krypton Club fix, no matter what you do.

This week's fanfiction is called "Lex Luthor Strikes Back," by Ketsia Lerebours (JLerebours@aol.com). It appears to take place sometime in the (near?) future as Lois and Clark are about to get married. In the Krypton Club tradition, this story has a cliffhanger that will be picked up in next week's fanfiction special (We may want to note that cliffhangers are NOT a requirement for placement in the weekly Krypton Club fanfiction sendout). And here it is..... Enjoy!

KRYPTON CLUB FANFICTION: "LEX LUTHOR STRIKES BACK" (Part 1 of 2)

By Ketsia Lerebours

Miles away in the Metropolis Maximum security prison, Lex Luthor sat in his dark jail cell, looking at a picture of Lois Lane with a penlight.

"I can't believe you betrayed me Lois. I can't believe you humilitated me in front of everyone". Lex said to the picture. "Now the final betrayal you are marrying Clark Kent, one of the people responsible for putting me in this place. Him and that flying red and blue peacock". As he crumbles the picture he mutters these words "I'm going to make you pay for this Lois. You, Clark and Superman."

Later that same night a bomb exploded at the Metropolis prison. In the chaos which ensued, Lex Luther escaped. A body wearing Lex's prison numbers and of similar built and height was found in the rubble, falsely leading prison officials to believe that Lex had died in the explosion.

Meanwhile, blissfully unaware of what was taking place in Metropolis, Clark Kent had flown Lois Lane to Paris to have dinner. The happy couple eat at a beautiful little French restaurant near the river bank and then flew to the Ille de la Cite to visit the Notre Dame De Paris. They held hands as they strolled through the streets.

"Oh, Clark" said Lois "I can't remember ever being this happy."

"Me either" said Clark as he pulled her into his arms and kissed her. "I geuss we should be getting back" said Clark as he reluctantly broke off the kiss. He picked her and the lovers flew back to Metropolis.

The next morning, while having breakfast at their condo while putting the finishing touch on their wedding which was to take place tomorrow, the couple was stunned when they opened the Daily Planet newspaper and found out that Lex Luther had died in an explosion at the jail house.

"You know its funny but I don't know how I should feel about his death" said Lois. "A big part of me is sad that his life ended the way it did, but a small part of me is glad that I know longer have to live my life in fear that one day he would break out and come after me. I feel that I'm finally free to live my life in peace".

"Let us not dwell on the past, said Clark." Let's concentrate on our wedding and the honeymoon."

The couple went about their business, visiting the minister and stopping by the Metropolis country club where the reception would be held. After running their numerous errands the couple returned back home. Clark kissed Lois good night.

"I love you," said Lois, "I'll call you before I go to bed".

"Love you too," said Clark, "I have to fly over the city and make sure everything is okay before going to back to bed, by the time I get back to the hotel you will probably be asleep." Clark replied.

"Okay, so I won't call you," said Lois, "See you tomorrow afternoon.... and "hey," she said as she grabbed hold of his hand, "don't keep me waiting". she finished with a smile.

"Don't worry nothing could keep me from our wedding" he said as he stroked her hair. "Don't forget to lock the door behind me" He said as he left.

Lois Lane got into bed and went right to sleep. A couple of hours later she was awaken by a noise in her bedroom. She looked at the clock and noticed that it was only 4:00 O'clock in the morning.

"Clark ?" she said reaching for the lamp switch, she had just turned the light on when she heard a voice which chilled her to her very soul say: "Hello my love, happy to see me?"

"Le ...Lex"! said a stunned Lois Lane. What are you doing here? you are supposed to be dead!"

"Why, I"ve come to give the bride away, or should I say take the bride away". Said Lex. "Now hurry up and get dress we have a little trip to take and I have a bridegroom and a superhero to kill".

"Lex you're crazy? said Lois, "You are mad to show your face around here, the police are bound to have figured out their mistake and track you down."

"No, I'm not crazy. I just want to repay you, Clark and Superman for all the pain and suffering you people have put me through," said Luthor in an angry voice. "Now hurry up and get dressed. Oh and by the way don't bother trying to contact your precious Clark or the police, the both phone lines have been cut. Beside nothing can save you, Clark and Superman from the fate I have planned for you".

WILL LOIS AND CLARK GET TO THE CHURCH ON TIME? WHAT PLANS DOES LEX HAVE IN STORE FOR LOIS, CLARK, AND SUPERMAN? TUNE IN NEXT WEEK.... SAME KRYPTON-TIME, SAME KRYPTON-FANFICTION!

By the way, as of this issue of the Krypton Club Weekly Fanfiction, the title of the story is now listed as the heading. To prevent confusion, we just want to stress that "Am I going to have to spank you?" was NOT the name of the last fanfiction story. It still seemed kind of inappropriate to go with last week's story, and hope no one was confused by it.

We've got to fly! See you next week!
