The wait is over and it's finally the night of the 3rd season finale, "We Have A Lot To Talk About."

An interesting bit of trivia: *No* new episodes had aired between the first newsletter and this issue; the next issue (#47) began fan reviews, a tradition that lasted all the way through the end. "We Have A Lot To Talk About" was most definitely one of the most popular and most talked-about episodes. In 1999, "WHALTTA" was voted #7 favorite by fans.

KRYPTON CLUB NEWSLETTER****ISSUE #46****SEPTEMBER 17, 1995
*****DAN PATTERSON AND CRAIG BYRNE, PRESIDENTS****
"LOIS, WILL YOU MARRY ME?"

WE'RE ALMOST THERE!
Well, tonight's the big night--the season premiere (for U.S. FOLCs--FOLCs
overseas will see the episode later.) Will Lois say "yes" to Clark's
proposal? Does she know his secret? Will Bobby Bigmouth figure out his
obsession with food? Will we ever see Martha and Jonathan's airplane bill?
Will Jimmy get a new shirt? And will Perry and Jimmy do more than simply
advancing the plot? We'll all find out tonight (unless you've cheated and
read the spoilers already ;^) )! After over three months of waiting, the
"big night" is finally here!

And also, here's a reminder that since the new school year and new L&C
season have begun, the Krypton Club schedule has changed! Here's the new
schedule....

* Regular newsletters will come out on Mondays and Thursdays, beginning
tomorrow. This will allow for us to do reviews of new episodes as well as
give us a chance to chat on the IRC and Backstage Buzz with you.
* The optional fanfiction will be sent out on Wednesday. All new members
write in if you'd like to be added to the fanfiction list. If you'd like to be taken off, do the same thing.
* Spoiler specials will now be sent out every Friday or Saturday, depending
on when we get some new info. If there is some very late-breaking spoiler
news, we will send it on different days of the week.

Hope this hasn't confused anyone too much! Enjoy Season 3!

"LOIS & CLARK" CHATS ON PREMIERE NIGHT
There will be several "L&C" chats on Premiere Night. The regular AOL chats
will be held at 9:30 EST and 9:30 PST in the "Backstage Buzz" rooms. In
case of overcrowding, there will be an extra "Backstage" room available.

You also can chat with FOLCs from around the world on the IRC (Internet
Relay Chat). If you have an IRC server (IRC is not yet available to AOL),
set "us.undernet.org" as your server and when you get on type in "/join
#loiscla." They have several things planned for the evening, and they're
hoping to be joined by a guest or two.

"LOIS & CLARK" IN "ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY!"
In the recent weeks, not only have we seen season 3 pictures in "EW," we
also found suggestions from "EW" on how to improve the show... be warned
that these are the opinions of "Entertainment Weekly," and not necessarily
the opinions of the Krypton Club officers.....

#1. Hold off on the marriage. Bring in more superbabes like Raquel Welch to
compete for the attention of Dean Cain's Clark.
#2. Make Lois (Teri Hatcher) a cyberpinup by having thousands of Daily Planet
readers download her on-line photo.
#3. Bring back the old, nerdy Jimmy Olsen (Michael Landes). Justin Whalin's way
too Tiger Beat-y to play the cub reporter. (Hey, Roseanne rehired Lecy
Goranson, the old Becky.ellipse)
#4. It's a bird, it's a plane...it's a Superman who rarely flies! Get in the
air, already.
#5. Fight some real villains: Bronson Pinchot and David Leisure are no match
for the Man of Steel. The Joker and the Riddler worked for Batman -- how
about Superman fan Jerry Seinfeld as the evil Stand-Up Guy?

OOPSIE!
"Superfriends" is supposed to air at 7AM EST on Sunday mornings on the USA
network, and not 8AM as we printed in Thursday's newsletter. We apologize
for the misinformation, and we hope you aren't TOO mad at us if you missed
the show. Upon watching the show, it's mainly a compliation of many DC
Comics super-hero shows... including the 1970's Batman cartoon, and
(hopefully) the well-done 1988 "Superman" cartoon. Apparently the show is a
half hour long, not an hour as previously reported.

TODAY'S L&C TOP TEN LIST By Craig Byrne
Here's something we found in the Krypton Club archives, from an old issue of
the newsletter... it's a top ten list from a while ago.... so here they are,
the top ten possibilities for the premiere of the third season of "Lois &
Clark...." (and, whaddaya know, at least one of these ten is actually TRUE!)

#10. It will turn out that the whole proposal thing was a dream sequence,
and the season opens with Clark finding Lois in the shower. (That might not be such
a bad idea after all...)
#9. It will turn out that the Lois Lane we've been watching for the last two
years was actually a clone named Ben Reilly. (Only Spider-Man comics fans would get
that one....)
#8. Clark interrupts Lois and tells her one big thing before she gives "the
answer."
#7. Right before Lois gives Clark "the answer," Clark hears someone yell "Help!
Superman!" and must go and save them.
#6. Lois will figure out the truth, that Clark is actually Superman. Of
course, she'll be quite pissed.
#5. Lois will tell Clark "no," because she's saving herself for Superman.
(D'OH!!!!)
#4. In mid-proposal, Jimmy walks up and says, "Hey, C.K.! Telephone!"
#3. Lois will say "yes, of course I'll marry you!"
#2. Lois will reveal to Clark that she has learned that she is pregnant with
her and Dan Scardino's love child.

And here it is, the #1 (and not neccessarily true) thing that could happen
in the 3rd
season premiere....
Clark will wake up, look at the clock radio, and hear "I've Got You Babe"
playing on
the radio... it turns out that "And The Answer Is" was all a dream.

We REALLY, REALLY need more top ten lists! Send them in!

L&C QUESTION OF THE WEEK
Here it is, the newest "Question of the Week".... you have until Wednesday
evening to send us answers. You might want to wait to answer this until
AFTER you see tonight's episode. Here's the question....

What did you think of the episode "We Have A Lot To Talk About?" Please
answer in only one or two sentences, so we can print everyone's answers
(keep it as short as possible!)

Remember, you have until Wednesday night, and you can respond to any of the
Krypton addresses!
************************************************************************************************
TODAY'S TRIVIA!!!
Here's the L&C trivia question for today.....

David Leisure (who will appear in the upcoming episode "Ordinary People") is
probably best known for a series of commercials he did in the late 1980's.
What was he advertising, and what was the name of his character?

The answer to Thursday's trivia question: The name of the pig on "Smart
Kids" was Socrates. No one got it right! C'mon, you can do better than that!

Send your answers and trivia guesses via e-mail! You have until Thursday morning!

KRYPTON CLUB LETTERS COLUMN
The Krypton Club now has its very own letters column for you! If you write us a letter and wish for it to NOT be printed in the newsletter, please say so. In this issue we're going to forego having a letters column because we'll surely have a lot tomorrow, so we'll give you a rest. Remember, we cannot print EVERYTHING we receive... but we do read all of it.

A TRUE STORY OF A FOLC MEETING DEAN & TERI!!!!!
This would normally go in the letters section, but this is so fantastic it
just had to get it's own space. Here's the story of how Wendy King
(Supergal17) met Teri and Dean, on November 14, 1994.

My mom was at my dad's office to do some copying and when she came
down to get into her car, she saw a sign that said "Lois and Clark: The New
Adventures of Superman". She also saw many cars and trailers. She knew that
she had to come home and get me since that is my favorite show.
That day was a Monday and I had gotten sick the day before so I
stayed home from school on Monday to recuperate. So my mom came home and
told me about "Lois and Clark". I was so excited that I grabbed a pad of
paper and a pen and my camera to take pictures of the actors and we left the
house. We saw a lot of filming stuff around the "Crocodile Cafe" on San
Fernando road (that is where they were filming that day). We walked up to
the parking lot on Orange Grove and Third Street where we found the crew
eating lunch. Teri Hatcher had just gotten her lunch and was about to sit
down when I walked up to her and said, "Teri Hatcher?"
"Yes?" replied Teri.
"Can I have your autograph?" I asked her.
"Sure! What is your name?" she asked.
"Wendy!" I said. She took the pen and paper and wrote:
Wendy-
Super Wishes!
Teri Hatcher
I told her that I love the show so much and she thought that was
great. I asked her if my mom could take a picture of us together and she
did not mind. She was so incredibly nice but at the same time she seemed to
be shy and cold. Then I asked her, "Is Dean Cain around?"
"Oh, He's around here somewhere. You can wait for him." She said.
I thanked her and went to the corner with my mom and waited for Dean Cain.
Mom went down to the car and brought it up closer to the parking lot
across the street from the crew. I kept waiting and this man in a red shirt
came over and we started talking about stuff and he didn't mind that I was
waiting for Dean. He said that Dean was in his Black Bronco talking on the
phone. I waited for him for an hour! When Dean was ready to go down and
film more, I walked up to him and said, "Hi, Dean Cain!"
"Hi."
"Can I have your auto..graph?" I said.
"Sure!" He broke in. He was so nice and outgoing. He was very
friendly and treated me with kindness.
"So, you're Wendy," he said after he saw what Teri wrote on the
paper, and he wrote:
To Wendy,
All my best!
Dean Cain
I started to talk to him and I told him that "Lois and Clark" is my
favorite show and I never miss a show. He said "How did you like last
night's show?" Meaning Sunday's.
Cynthia, my sister, had taped it for me because I was sick so I
watched it that Monday morning. I said to Dean, "I just balled, I don't
know why, but I guess it is because `Clark' died."
"I'm glad you felt that way!" Dean said. See, I am a total fan of
the show and any other person that does not watch the show as faithfully as
I do would not cry. This shows him that I really am a fan and love the
characters. He told me that he
missed it because he was busy, but I am sure he has them all on video.
I asked if he would take a picture with me and we did. My mom kept
taking pictures as I talked to him. He said that making the show is very
fun and they have a blast doing it, as well as being a lot of work. My mom
said that she hopes the
show's ratings will go up because my family loves the show a lot. Mom also
said that SUPERMAN was her favorite super- hero when she was a kid and she
was glad to see more adventures of SUPERMAN for her kids to get into. Just then
Teri walked up and said to me, "You're still here?"
Then I thought of having a picture with all three of us in it. They
said it was no problem, so my mom took the picture. My pictures turned out
great, I enlarged them to 8x10 size, framed them and they are hanging on my
bedroom wall!
Anyway, Dean was a really wonderful, cute, and fantastic man. He
was not snobby like a lot of actors are. He is so awesome. As my mom and I
were leaving, I shouted good-bye and waved to Dean and he shouted in return,
"Bye, Wendy!"
I hope that he will always remember Wendy!
Later that day, Cynthia wanted to see him so I took her down there
and she met Teri, I ran up to her and said, "Hi, I'm back." I introduced
them but Teri looked like she was in a hurry and she walked off. Then we
thought that we'd walk across the street to meet Dean. Then we saw him walk
out of the cafe and I waved "hi" to him and he waved back and said, "Hi,
Wendy!" He remembered my name, I thought. I took a picture of him and
Cynthia together and then said bye.
Even later that day, David, my younger brother, wanted to
met Dean also, so I took him down to see Dean Cain and I took a picture of
them together. I think that Dean thinks I am crazy because I went to see
him many times. No matter, he'll just think that I love the show and HIM so
very much.
