[SPOILER]A trustworthy source has revealed to me that the first episode of Melrose Place will feature the shocking death of Sydney, the Melrose Place landlord portrayed by Laura Leighton of the original series. According to my source, her lifeless body will be found floating face down in the pool, an apparent homicide. I'm told that this will kick off an exciting season-long murder mystery storyline, but Sydney has met her maker and risen from the grave before. This time, is she really, most sincerely dead?[/SPOILER]

Don't know about this show just like the old 90210, the original Melrose Place was the best. It's like they've gone from re-doing movies to now re-doing tv shows. What's next?

[SPOILER]In a video preview of the first episode, Auggie (Colin Egglesfield) and Violet (Ashlee Simpson) are shown talking by the pool just after the discovery of a dead body. Auggie says that he met the deceased woman in AA and she inspired him to become a chef.

If the official CW press release which offers a description of the show, here's what it says about the character of Auggie: "Sydney also played a pivotal role in the career of Auggie Kirkpatrick (Colin Egglesfield). After they met at an AA meeting, she became Auggie's sponsor and encouraged his dream to become a chef."

I promise you, Sydney DOES die in the first episode. This is a fact.[/SPOILER]

Also, I thought one of the characters was supposed to be Jake's son? Now he's Mancini's son? I'm confused.

They changed it because they couldn't get Grant Show back(why, I don't know). Now David's last name is Breck instead of Patterson.

[SPOILER]As for Syd getting killed again, I wish they would have offed Amanda or Lexi instead, then had Syd come on as the new landlord. But I get that they couldn't get either actress back(Lunar is on AMC, Locklear wanted too much money) and they wanted to show flashbacks so they went with Syd. Oh well, at least we'll get to see her for most of the season.[/SPOILER]

Weird thing is, David (if he's the character I'm thinking of) looks just like a junior Grant Show.

Not being able to get the dads has been fine for 90210... I mean, if they wanted Kelly's kid's father to appear they could've made the dad Steve Sanders, it's not as though Ian Ziering is busy.

Yeah, he does look a lot like Grant, I think thats cause they fully intended on having him be Jakes son.

There's a new promo on the shows official Facebook set to "Circus". Looks hot! Hopefully they don't cut out all the sex like they did with the 90210 pilot.
