She mentioned the problem with vampire bats in kansas, but she didn't mention anything about the following:

Can vampire bats live forever?
Can they break their neck, die, and then come back to life?
Can they snap broken parts of their body back into place?

The vampire thing was really stupid. They made the whole vampire thing supernatural rather than all from kryptonian-infected vampire bat bites, etc.

I agree with how Allison Mack's narration of the episode was splendidly done. It was simple and flowed nicely, but still had that Chloe flair that gives every episode a kick. It certainly was new to have her narrating, but definitely not poorly delivered. Thumbs up in that sense.

Overall, I agree with the episode review. It was basically all of my thoughts on it, just worded differently.

well, whether she meant it or not, those were huge points for me that should be addressed too.

I'm not sure what to say to this, Vype...

I asked for a way to get feedback on my reviews before I jumped ship from TV Tome to come here and Craig offered letting me have my own threads for comments. (Why I decided to stop reviewing at TV Tome in the first place is a complicated story but if you're interested, PM me.)

I don't get paid for the reviews I do, so I don't think having a thread of my own for feedback is too much to ask.

And I highly appreciate the feedback these threads provide me and it means a lot that people take the time to comment on my reviews. I work hard on them and it makes that worth it if I know people enjoy reading them, even if they don't always agree with me.

Also, I often get different view points on the episode and I learn something to boot, so it's a win-win for me.

Well, I didn't particularly like the part of the story dealing with the vampire bats and immortality (you're right, it doesn't make sense), but it didn't bother me enough to warrant any more comment in my review than I gave it.

If I picked apart every little thing that was problematic in each review, they'd be 10,000 words long instead of about 1,500. There are a lot of little things wrong with each episode, but if I don't feel they interfere with my enjoyment of the episode I don't mention them.

My reviews are probably long enough as it is...

As for Thirst: it was a fun episode, even if it wasn't perfect, and it made me laugh...

You understand that Craig asked her to be the reviewer for K-Site, right? That's why she gets her own thread.

Still, even though everyone doesn't get a thread dedicated to their own review (and really, that could get to be a ridiculous number of threads), everyone is still welcome to post their reviews and comments in the episode discussion threads.

Personally, I think you should email Craig some of your excellent vids and maybe become the offical K-site vidder. One per ep.. that would be really cool.

Since this is Triplet's thread, I deleted the few posts that I had here. I am sorry for complaining in the thread. I don't usually complain because I hate people who whine. This was just one area I was kinda sensitive about because I was not satisfied with how it was resolved. But rules are rules, so what are you gonna do.

Triplet,

Like I said before, I like your reviews. I was a long time member of tvtome, and always managed to catch your reviews over there. As far as your review of Thirst goes, I pretty much agree with you. I rated this episode a 4/5 as well.

Serene,

Craig has seen some of my vids and has enjoyed what he saw. But as cool as it would be to be the official vidder for the site, I don't think such a position exists. I would be happy with just being a moderator for the fanvid section of the forum.

There was some who did with you. I was one , and back in the day a few others at the time.

Hmm.

It has been awhile, so I don't really remember. But no worries. I deleted the posts that I made because I don't want to upset the mod's or take up space in the thread. The last thing we need is to have a long thread of complaints...

We've been over the "Why Triplet has a thread" thing before, so I really don't understand the need to regurgitate the "Why is this up?" thing all over again. I actually think the "official" rules were even altered so that there are no threads discussing individual reviews EXCEPT for the ones posted on the main site... Triplet's are on the main site. It's just easier to keep up with all of the reviews that way, continually complaining about the rules when you've already said your piece is silly.

It's easier - since this is discussing a part of the main site - that it has its own thread. Trust me on this

But yes vyperman, your videos are great

Hey Craig,

Thanks for the compliments on my vids. You haven't seen any for awhile though. The ones that you saw were nothing compared to what I can do now. I upgraded to better editing software, and learned some new tricks... LOL

I deleted the few posts that I had to avoid getting into an argument.

You know: Maybe it's not easy, especially since voice over dialogue is usually deadly dull (one of the main reasons why I hate that device)
Try watching "The Shawshank Redemption". Morgan Freemans' voiceover was great.

BTW I guess you don't like Veronica Mars then. She does allot of those.

Sam,

Shawshank is my all time favorite film.

In regards to the voiceover, I actually liked the Chloe voiceover myself. People are making reference to it having a "Sex and the City" type feel. However, I have never watched a single episode of that show, so I couldn't comment on that either way. But for the purpose of the episode, I thought it was rather cool to have Chloe take us through the episode.

I love Veronica Mars by the way. That was my favorite show last year. It would usually be Smallville, but season four was just so terrible. There were a few other shows to give Veronica Mars a run for its money. Season four of Alias and 24 were both awesome. But VM was just so well done, and Kristin Bell = sexy!!

I find Triplet's reviews interesting, even if I don't agree with them all the time, or on all points. Triple is kinder than me to the source material, I am more critical, being an artist and all, thats what we do, find tiny microscopic flaws in our work! However, being the Smallville SuperFan that I am, I find a way to enjoy even the worst episodes.

BTW, I am sure the info is on here somewhere, but for a real quick answer, just where can I post reviews? Or am I just not allowed to at all? I always thought about going back to the beginning, and reviewing like the top 20 best episodes, and the top 10 worst episodes.

I've tried watching VM a couple of times and can't really get into it.

I love The Shawshank Redemption, it's one of my favorite movies, and is probably one of the few that uses voice overs well but Morgan Freeman has a beautiful speaking voice and is an excellent actor to boot.

In Goodfellas it also worked. Ray Liotta's voice isn't as resonant as MF's but he was very intense in that and he carried that intensity through to the VO work so it worked. That was a beautiful film anyway and another favorite of mine.

A River Runs Through It did not use VO's quite as well, Robert Redford's voice is pretty flat and very nasal and that doesn't work well with doing voice over work.... I love that film, but it's probably in spite of RR's voice overs.

It's just not a device that I'm fond of, but I thought it worked well in Thirst for the reasons I stated.

You should try just enjoying a show for what it is sometimes.

I don't give the show a pass on awful episodes, take a look at my review for Ageless if you want to see me rip the show a new one, but I don't let picyunish problems bother me if the episode is otherwise enjoyable.

And I thought this one was.

Your mileage may indeed vary.

I'm starting to hear voice overs when I do my chores at home. Is this a bad sign of my mental health?
