Any one seen the reality show The Swan?

Each episode is about two umm..unfortunate/not-good-looking women going through extreme makeovers (liposuction, plastic surgery etc) for a couple of months without looking at the mirror once. After the makeover is over, they are then presented with mirrors to see their new self. Here is when the women goes "OMG!! I'M SOOOO BEAUTIFUL *sob sob*"

alrite, so if changing an image helps one's confidence..then its good i guess...but.....

Then these two women are judeged, and then the "prettier" one moves on to the final judgement at the end of the season. So, the "prettier" one moves on, and the other one..doesn't...and apparently her extreme makeover is still not good enough...now that must suck..

At the end of the season, all the winners compete in a final round...and the "prettiest" one gets to enter the Miss America (or was it Miss Universe?) pagent!! I can't believe that!!..These pagents are suppose to find the true natural beauties inside and out....now how would the other contestents feel to be competing with a plastic women..

Seriously, the reality shows these days are getting more and more degrading......remember "who wants to marry a millionaire?", "who wants to date a prince?" "Are you hot or not?"...sigh...

I watch the Swan (for those of you who may not know, its a show where "unattractive" women are turned into "beautiful swans" by a plastic surgery team. The winner from each episode then goes on to a beauty pagaent where one woman is crowned the Swan). I know I shouldn't enjoy it so much, but its a guilty pleasure of mine. I love to see what surgery is capable of. What do you think of the show? Post your thoughts here. I added a poll just as an extra.

BTW, I voted no on the poll.

That sounds preety weird with the whole women turning into swanns by a plastic surgeon.

I watched the Swan when it first aired up to the pageant that they had.

Although I don't like the idea of plastic surgery, I think it was good for the women who went through with it. They all felt better and more confident, and they seemed happy about the transformations. Each woman carried themself differently after the surgery.

I likewise voted no on the poll.
