Lori is a mermaid that Clark met while in college. At the time, he thought she was crippled, because she went around in a wheel-chair with her legs covered with a blanket (they were actually fins, of course). Clark actually proposed to her, but she refused because of their differences.

Clark thought she perished, but she survived and reappeared a few years ago. Her return and subsequent relationship with Clark was one of the things that almost broke Lois and Clark up for good, before they got back together and got married. Lois and Lori are now very good friends.

She can now walk on land thanks to a spell cast by her now dead husband. When she gets wet, her feet become fins again.

I would love to see Lori become a cast member when Clark goes to college, or at least appear in several episodes. She's a great character.

I saw a comic book cover somewhere with her and a couple kids and Superman from along time ago. It was online so I never read it but it was with a whole bunch of funny ones at this site that showed Superman as a jerk.

I was talking to a friend of mine about this comic book in specific when our discussion occured. The man is a "superfreak" I mean the man owns the very first published comic.

Any way he told me that she was his "first" as in his "FIRST" first and we were discussing that they don't show her in the tv shows or movies so it wouldn't be relevant in them so it's not uncommon to assume that Lois or Lana or who ever was.

I don't even know who out of those two is considered because I've never even thought about it until I came upon this site and read something else. I've always just seen Lois and Clark/Superman because all the popular media's portray them.

My friend told me it was Lori when I had asked between Lana and Lois and he was like truthfully it was Lori Lemaris and went into this whole discussion that never got to Lana or Lois.

I certainly dont know if the whole Lori being his first is necessarily true but he seemed hell bent on it and absolutely positive he had proof but he'd have to look for it and I was like, oh man be wary of the archives because his comic collection is a bit eccentric. This discussion was months ago. I'm sure we'd still be opening filing boxes.

I would love to see her in the show but I wonder if they'd do the whole mermaid part. It would be great to see Clark love some one enough to propose with out fear.

I'm not necessarily looking forward to the whole "FIRST" thing but thats because I'm a little weirded out about a man and a mermaid and how. That's something to be discussed later, if it happens LOL.

I don't think she was his first in post-Crisis continuity, and I'm not sure if that was even discussed in the Silver Age. I think Lois is his first, although I could be wrong about that.

I think it would be a great idea to have Lori Lemaris in there, whether she was Clark's first or not. Mermaids interest me + there's already so much on Lois Lane and Lana already.

I don't care that they'd show her as his first either, I mainly just meant that she was in there some where and that they should show her in some form or another.

I didn't think about this until after I left, but since she didn't actually have legs when Clark first met her (and therefore, didn't have another body part essential for her to be Clark's first), it's not possible that she's was his first. When she came back with legs Clark and Lois had long since been engaged and intimate. Clark has never been with anyone but Lois.
