Where is the series going next season?

I was thinking about where the series is headed and I don't know where they are going to go with the series next year. It seems like they are already tying alot of stuff up at the end of this season. If all continues on the path that it's going and this is just speculation on my part: Lionel will be in jail or dead, Lana will be off in Paris, Pete will be off somewhere, Lex will be in charge of his father's company (possible renamed LexCorp), Jonathan and Jor-El's deal will be revealed. And Kara may or may not be on the show. So where does that leave us?

Who's next to find out the secret?

Ok. If Pete's gone, someone else will probably find out. So basically it's between Lana and Chloe. If Lana goes off to Paris, then there is no point i nher finding out, unless it's just for future reference. But she wouldn't be constantly there for him. But then again, I haven't heard anything about Kristin Kreuk leaving the show, so maybe she won't be in Paris. Maybe Chloe then? Though I wonder what she would do with that info.

What's left to cause the rift between Clark and Lex?

Love affair between Lex and Lana. Eh. Not really enough to cause them to be future enemies. Or at least a stupid reason. Lana dying. She doesn't in the comics, so maybe not here. Chloe dying then.

If thats the case, what I think that they should do is take things back to their roots. Lex will be in charge of the company, so make him the new burgeoning villian. The first thing that he is going to want to do as the new head of the company is flex his muscles, take on his companies enemies. Which means that he is going to be up to no good. This will get messy. Have Clark and Chloe go back to the investigating days. Really start to get the journalistic aspect of Clark Kent going. Over the course of the season they will begin to discover the things that Lex is up to.

If they want to rekindled the romance between Clark and Chloe they can. If they want to have Chloe find out, they can. But at the end, Chloe finds out secrets that Lex doesn't want her to and she is killed.

If they want to have a fifth season, they can make it so that Clark doesn't know that it was Lex that was responsible. Lana comes back. Clark is devastated by Chloe's death. Have the fifth season concentrate on Clark's final decision to become Superman. Lex finds out that Clark has betrayed him and that he has been spying on him for the past year. Clark finally finds out that it was Lex that killed (or had killed) Chloe and vows to stop his evil.

Things they definitley need to include:

- a full explanation of the caves. the who, what, and why at least.

- what happened to Dr. (insert name here)
what happened to Helen Bryce?
what happened to Alicia?

-How about a returning good guy for once? Kyle Tippett? Perry White?

- Is Morgan Edge really dead? Maybe some first dealings with Intergang. Possibly as revenge for Edge's death. Would be a good contuing villian(s).

- Whats the connection between Chloe and Lois Lane? really her cousin?

-Why was Henry Small on the show?

Lana isn't leaving for more than three episodes of next season. In fact, she'll probably be back in the second part of next season's premire. And I'm beting she'll find out the secret soon. Edge is dead, you DON'T survive getting shot in the chest several times and running into Clark at 60-80 miles an hour. Henry Small was on the show to give Lana something to do. He later lost interest in her.

Actually, Lana was the one that put an end to their relationship. Henry's wife was going to divorce Henry, because she was jealous of all the time and energy Henry was relating to Lana. For the sake of Henry's marriage, Lana agreed to let Henry work out his marriage and stay away from him.

OK, I forgot about that. Still, there's a reason he's not on the show anymore.

Yeah actually that one was more of a joke just pointing out that they seem to open up alot of subplots which are going no where or only last a few episodes.

I didn't think the character was that interesting and think he should stay gone.
