The Towers we see in LOIS' visions are actually being destroyed as one is damaged, perhaps to cause the red sun giving the resistence a chance to attack.

In crossfire Zod says something like "Miss Mercer will help us to unlock the powers of the yellow sun"
I don't actually think this relates to their super Powers as such, I think these "Solar Towers" are the energy technology which destroyed Krypton.
Think Zod was hinting he intended to conquer earth & for Tess to help him find the Blur.

I still think the key to the Kandorians powers is something simple like their Dogtags being a similar element to Blue K but more potent (symbol of power on Krypton -military may use it).
Remember DAX-UR only discovered Blue-K effects shortly before Kryptons end, So it's effects weren't known when the Orb was created.
Kandorians In close proximity to the tags are powerless (RABID beheading)
though in Savior Alia from the future isn't wearing any.

KANDOR clip - Jor-El isn't wearing his tags & seems to move quickly in the barn ,But is beaten by Zod when close to him.

As a symbol of allegiance & heritage i don't think Zod's men would consider removing their tags.

Don't think the Towers unlock their powers - But that's my take on it

Yes, and Clark has the key to get to the Fortress.

Do the Kandorians ever get their powers? Maybe they just want Clark to loose his powers so he can be defeated. If Clark alone could destroy the earth, I can't imagine hundreds of Kandorians running around earth with powers so maybe they don't ever get their powers but use their technology to take over the earth like using the solar towers to turn the sun red.

wHY SHOULD they destroy earth? They need a place to stay after Krypton is destroyed. I think it´s all about rule the world and use the weak humans as slaves. TMO.

And there is not only Clark who is dangerous for them. There are a lot o superhumans around these days.

Alia in "SAVIOR" had powers - So yes they get their Powers.
Also in LOIS' vision we saw ZOD landing in front of Towers (don't think it was Clark)
The resistance probably use the tower to turn sun red giving them a chance against the Kandorians.
The tower does appear damaged ,could be destroyed by overload caused by Chloe.

We had one Kandorian posing as a doctor that went behind Zod's back and released a virus on Metropolis. What could one of Zod's minions going rogue with powers do? Maybe not destroy earth but they could destroy mankind. In my opinion, it could be disastrous for Kandorians to have their powers.

okay sorry to ask this but in the flashes how do we know that clark has lost his powers and why am i hearing about a sex scene between clark and lois in the barn and something about a cut on his face and what about something relating to clark and lois in the FOS.

Of course it would be kind of an apocalypse for mankind. But I think thats the whole point of the story.

Clois sex under the red sun...better then nothing at all, but lois and clark can have sex without clark losing his powers. Perhaps when they actually do it (in real time, not in the red sun AU) there will be no power removal.

Of course, the conversation is how so just adding my two cents We also know that Clark's previous knowledge will be what stops the apocalypse and I find how this all plays out is quite interesting.

I don't think Lois is suppose to know that Clark is the Blur yet so that is why he shouldn't have his powers when Lois and Clark make love. It would be nice to know exactly what resctrictions there are for Lois and Clark in a relationship.

The dog tag theory makes sense. I didn't see them wearing their dog tags in the Kandor preview when they're in the fortress... But it could just be hiding under their clothes...

I think you are absolutely right about Chloe and Stuart. Tess though is shown to be kneeling before Zod. Self preservation maybe? IDK, but I'm excited to see!

I'm beginning to believe Jor-El is responsible for Zod and his cronies not having their powers. He could of program the orb make them powerless much like the Jor-El in the FOS took away Clark's powers.

Zod may try to use the solar towers to amplify the yellow sun to get his super powers. I think Tess might double cross Zod and cause the solar towers to emit red sunlight and keep Zod from getting his powers.

Yeah, if red solar radiation is involved, I find it high unlikely that Zod and his disciples would be granted powers under that. As I mentioned before, no type of kryptonite affects Kryptonians either way under a red sun. So either Zod and his disciples get their powers from the yellow sun and one way or another the sun is turned red, making all the Kandorians powerless (including Clark), or the OD is wrong, and Zod and his disciples keep their powers once they get them under the yellow sun (due to the towers), but use the towers to expose Clark to red sun radiation, causing him and only him to become powerless.
