The volley ball floating in the water near Ollie in the scene where he washes up on the beach? I missed 5 minutes of dialog rolling on the floor laughing. Anyone know where that piece of inspiration came from? There are some cheeky jokes going on this season, gotta say, I like that. Just wish they would put the same level of thought into the characters and their interaction...

Well...he was on a yacht with his friends so the ball could have come from there. You have a good eye:DI totally missed that. I was too busy drooling at his wet, white and soon to be opened shirt:rotfl:

I watched the episode again and there it was, a VOLLEYBALL floating close to shore. I can't believe that they would stick that in. Strange???

Bird, I can't tell from your post if you have seen the movie "Cast Away" with Tom Hanks? If you have the volleyball reference makes total sense. If not, I'd be happy to fill you in.

Seems to me there have been other nods to films and references of a similar nature (and not all Superman mythos references), but nothing that comes to mind immediately. If I catch more, I'll share them. I think they are funny and I would LOVE to know who they come from. I don't know if it is the director, the producers, a writer, I dunno. Just that someone has a very good sense of humor, subtle but darned funny!

haha, thats funny! I missed that, but I am going to watch for that when I re-watch the episode!!
