Smallville "IM Fun"

I listen to a lot of talk radio during the day and when I get home from work. One of the shows I get a kick out of here in Detroit has a daily feature called "IM Fun" (Instant Message Fun). The radio station has an instant feedback feature on their website and listeners can instant message the show throughout the day. The "IM" topic changes every day and is ALWAYS silly and/or totally sarcastic. It takes a little while to "catch on" to it but once you do, it can be a lot of fun. I thought I might try it here using a Smallville theme (instead of a sports theme like the radio station does). If you're familiar with David Letterman's Top 10 lists, this is similar to that (sort of). I will try to post a new topic every day or so until you guys catch on. Once you do, maybe we can take turns coming up with new topics (ie have the old person pick a new person to post a topic for the following day. For example, I do today's then pass it to Krews or XRay for tomorrow, or something like that). I'll fire the first salvo...

Signs Clark might be lying to you about his abilities

Like for instance...

The entire football team is unconscious and he tells you they were all up late studying for a test the night before.

The Talon is on fire and he tells you he put trick birthday candles on Lana's birthday cake and they wouldn't go out.

He catches a man falling from the 30th floor of a skyscraper and he tells you he was "in the right place at the right time"

*Obviously the point here is to make fun of the lame excuses Clark comes up with to cover up for his abilities.

Clark jumps and catches a civilian falling from a building. Everyone stares at him in awe and he replies "A freak gust of wind must've slowed down our fall. Weird, huh?"

Clark travels to Metropolis from Smallville to save Lana "just in the nick of time" after just finishing a phone conversation with her 5 minutes ago. "How did you get here so fast?" she asks. "I didn't get any red lights on the way", he responds.

After Lex drops the lab on Clark and Chloe in Onyx, Chloe asks Clark what happened. Clark says "Uh, a pillar broke collapsing the lab. Then it got pretty chilly so I decided we better stay warm under the debris."

Like for instance...

You accidentally bump Lex's car with your car door as you're getting out. You apologize to him, but he buys the dealership where you got YOUR car from and
repossesses it when you're 1 day late on your payment.

You accidentally stumble upon a secret room at Luthorcorp one day when you're working there and discover all kinds of illegal experiments with meteor rocks you're not supposed to know about. You tell Lionel you won't tell anyone, but he completely erases your identity (credit cards, bank accounts, driver's licence, etc.) and has you thrown in Belle Reve where he electrically shocks your brain.

Hmm I think I've got one...

You meet Lex Luthor on the street and ask him what it's like being bald. He doesn't respond. Later, a team of Lex's bodyguards kidnap you and take you to a private Luthorcorp lab where the latest experiment, a permanent hairloss solution, is being tested. He uses it on you and asks "What's it like being bald?"

I'm going to retire the "IM Fun" thread. I thought it might "catch on" but it really hasn't. Not the way I anticipated anyway. No biggie. Some ideas work and some don't. The Tribond game seems to be a huge hit. That was a good idea. Maybe this one wasn't. Continue to post new ones if you like and I'll read and comment on them. But I'm no longer going to post NEW IM topics.
