Fan Art Challenge Round #144: Missing My Shows Free-for-All Breakdown

It's that time of the year, when many of our favorite shows go on hiatus for months leaving us to wonder about the fate of our favorite characters and shows. And in some instances, our favorite shows are no longer on the air. This challenge will be a celebration of your fav shows. You can focus on a highlight, a shock, a low-point, a nasty moment, or just your show in general.

Allowed Shows: Smallville, Supernatural, Prison Break, Heroes, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Jericho, Invasion (2005), Moonlight, LOST, Bionic Woman (2007), Firefly, Gilmore Girls, Torchwood, Reaper, Veronica Mars, Doctor Who, Journeyman, Chuck, New Amsterdam, Grey's Anatomy, Battlestar Galactica (new or old), House M.D, The X-Files, Bones, Star Trek, CSI, and The 4400. (If your fav show isn't listed here you can PM me and maybe we can add it)

**Please use one show per graphic unless you are using screen caps from when the show had a cross-over episode.**

Image Choice: Please only use images from your chosen shows. Every kind of image is allowed for this challenge (as long as it sticks to your program) screen captures, promo images of the stars, photo-manips, TV show promotional images, basically a free-for-all - are all allowed.

All graphics must be original for this challenge. Pre-made resources such as textures, brushes etc are always allowed.

Entries: You may post as many graphics as you wish to post on the challenge thread, just remember only one or maybe two will be put in the final poll for people to vote on. (See "Awarding.")

Suggestion: Try to keep your entries' file sizes under 1 MB so people can view them easily even on slower web connections.

The poll will be posted July 12.
Voting will continue through July 12.

Awarding:
At the end of the challenge Ginx will post a poll. The poll can include up to ten items. The poll will include only two entries per person (if space allows) or Ginx will chose one entry per person to be voted on. The poll will determine first and second place (and if there are enough entries third place & one or two mod's choice awards will be given).

In addition, all participants will receive a commemorative graphic for participating in the challenge.

Rules for Posting Your Entries On Challenge Thread:

#1. Please post the name of the show, the characters name and (optional the name of your piece).

Optional: You also may write a sentence or two, or three about what you created and why etc.

#2. You may post credits for resources (brushes, textures but do not directly link to other fan sites as per K-Site rules).

#3. As always our rule for all challenges applies - all images entered must abide by KryptonSite's forum rules for posting in the K-Site Forums. Please read those rules regarding spoilers and permitted content >>here.<<..
This includes the "thumbnail" rule. All posted images must be under 200x200 pixels for fast and easy page loading. This means we will need to post clickable thumbnails instead of full images. Please ask if you need help with creating thumbnails. Photobucket, Pictiger and Image Shack create thumbnails automatically.

Info: House & Cuddy are my favorite pairing on House (Huddy=OTP!). They have great chemistry and a complex relationship (she's the Dean of Medicine and he's a rogue genius who breaks the rules to solve bizzare medical mysteries) but is it love? I don't know, but I like this song and was in a Beatles kind of mood, so I wanted to use it on something.

Info: I just wanted to try a different style of wallpaper and I wanted to make something with these lovely pictures (recently released by J.) It didn't come out like I planned but seldom does anything I make for challenges.

The two entries look fantastic, FotW! I love how the black and white image of Cuddy and House came out because they seem enhanced in a sense. The way that you made the background come out in color because it just draws you in, lol. The images of House and Cuddy that you chose fit perfectly with the lyrics IMO because House doesn't like he's exactly in love, but you can still feel the chemistry (if that makes any sense). :D

The Chloe Sullivan wall looks amazing too. I like the images of Chloe that you chose and where you put them. I also like the fact that they're HQ and have a smooth-illustrated look to them. The different lines and borders do a great job of dividing the wall into different shapes (that probably sounded really dumb :lol: ). I can't really name what it is that makes me like this piece so much, but I love how it turned out.

I also can't wait to see the other entries.

Ginx, that Dean & Sam wallpaper rocks! I love the black & white on color it really pops! And the Impala background looks awesome. Love the effect you added to their eyes, too.

This is basically what I said in your thread about the wall, Ginx, but I added something to the end.

The new Sam and Dean wall looks fantastic, Ginx! I really like the fact that you made the images of both of them black and white because it seems to go perfectly against the red and black background. I also like the way that you did their eyes especially Sam's because they seem like he's ready to attack someone, lol. The Impala blended into the background looks perfect because it's not too out there, but at the same time you can still see it pretty well. I really like the text design and how it's on the cracked panels. I also like how the cut-outs were done, they make the wall look kind of like a pop-up book in a sense.

It's called memory because Smallville reminds me of my dog who was killed in an unexpected traffic accident a few days ago. I didn't like smallville at first, but now I love it. This is also probably my last photoshop "work" for a long while. Recently lost a whole hard drive of my things totalling 50 gigs, a sign to put aside my hobbies and focus on life =]

Info: On this piece I wanted to not use any text, but to still illustrate how Mulder & Scully seek the truth that is hidden in darkness and secrets (the light of truth here, is symbolized by the blue glow in the distance). The UFO of course, represents the main recurring story arc seen throughout the series involving the extraterrestrial colonization of Earth. The overwhelming green colors are meant to emphasize the weird and alien element.
