I was thinking that the whole goal of Veritas was to hide the one item that could control the Traveler. After seeing Quest you would asume that they are talking about the FOS. But I think the item is Jor El. If you think about it. The one thing that has been able to control Clark through out all the episodes, it has been his real father. I cant wait to see this all come to a head next week. Lex and Clark standing in the FOS together. This has to be it, when Lex figures it all out. I hope they dont use a 'bump on the head' to make him forget everything. Those games are just getting old

What if the devcie was not meant for Clark, but to control Zod or any other rebellious Kryptonian who would try to detro earth. Jor- El had many enimies as a Kryptonian leader. The VERITAS group could have gotton it all wrong. Who Knows? What ever the writers want it to be.

Yeah, this is what I've been saying. It could have been intended for Zod, Kara or maybe even Brainiac. Veritas could have it all wrong.
For a while, I have thought that the item is the Eradicator. I wonder if I'll turn out to be right. I wonder if the orb's the device or if it leads to something in the FOS that is the device. Maybe it has to be plugged into the FOS to work. But then that would present a problem because if the Traveler went evil/berzerk and the FOS was never formed, there would be no way to control him.
The control part also has me skeptical. I think if Jor-El was afraid of Clark going evil, instead of sending a device that would control him, he would leave a message showing how kryptonite could be used to stop him.

Maybe it's to control Lex, the evil force that would otherwise destroy Kal-El if given the chance...?
