What if Clark told Lex??

Hey guys,
i've been reading bunch of threads, and i read a full summary of lex/clark relationship in one of the threads. I was reading on how Lex was always looking into clarks "secret". And i just started thinking, what if in season 1, Clark had told Lex about his secret...
What do you think would have happened?

There have been numerous discussions on this, and it will probably be easier to continue off in an already established thread. IMO, if he had told LEx early on, almost all of this would have been avoided and Lex could have been redeemed. Now of course telling him would just be self-sacrifice

Although this has nothing to do with the previous episode, I will say that it would have been a completely different show. I don't think Lex would have ever turned "evil". It was Clark's betrayal of him that gave him nothing to hold on to, and if Clark would have trusted him, Lex just might have been the good guy of the story.

let me speak in the minority here. I'm reminded of a quote from Infinite Crisis:

"When a Superman and a Luthor stand side by side they will always be at odds."

I don't think there was any way to save this relationship. I don't want to use the "destiny" excuse, but when it comes to these two I don't see any other way for it to have ended. There would've been some other catastrophe that split them up anyway cause the multiverse works in mysterious ways!

I agree, regardless of how long it would take, the final outcome was inevitable. I suspect that "Apocalypse" will demonstrated that it wasn't Clark holding back on Lex that turned him evil, because even in a world without Clark Kent, Lex still become evil.

No one's saying that.

Clark could've PREVENTED Lex from turning evil. Lex was on a path to the darkside before meeting Clark, Clark staved it off for 3 years or so.
