How do you get rid of your memories of a youth? Drag them down some stairs and throw them in a fire haha.

I know it's wrong, but I couldn't help but laugh. Kid reminded me of Chucky...

I know, it's kind of weird. Clearly Lex is on the verge of a breakdown here (Cf. Banquo's ghost in MacBeth), but the way I interpreted it is, he's finally demonstrating his complete contempt for his kinder self. Before, maybe, he held back a little in trying to hunt down Alexander, or his other self was less open in confronting adult Lex, so he wasn't as vulnerable.

So does this explain why Lex wears a black glove on his right hand, as it was in the fire? Apologies in advance if this has been answered elsewhere...

That kinda got me. How do you kill a part of your mind by putting it in a fire? But I guess they just wanted to make it clear that Lex isn't good anymore.

It was all in Lex's mind i think. Playing out how he feels he can get rid of the 'good part' within his mind. Though it did seem a little elaborate having him drag Little Lex into a fire :\

Some people have suggested that Lex is wearing the black glove in Apocalypse because of wearing Kryptonite ring. Which he does in the comics and it damages his hand permanantly. Though in the episode this wouldn't be the case as Clark is never meant to have arrived on earth. So why hes wearing the black glove will be told in the episode i'm guessing.

It was symbolic to Lex, he was seeing a part of his mind physically so he had to kill it physically. He didn't actually kill Alexander by throwing him in the fire, it's just that's how his mind represented him completely turning his back on the little good that remained within him.

Alexander symbolized the good left in Lex. Lex killed the only good he had left so now he is just plain evil. Get it? :D
