Because what's an episode without some sweet Chlark? What did you think of Chlark this episode?

At the end, that was unusially good Chlark. That was Chlarkahole with extra ethanol in it.

Mmm well, I liked the Chlark team up tonight...especially the loft scene at the end and Clark running to help knocked up Chloe. And the look on Clark's face when she tells him Lex fired her. On the bright side, Chloe being out of a job gives Clark and her plenty of time to hang out in upcoming episodes.

I really liked that Chlark were together at the crime scene at Luthorcorp, that Clark helped Chloe up after she got knocked out, and the barn scene was just wonderful.
I'm really glad to see that Chloe doesn't let Clark get into a self-imposed guilt trip. She reminds him of hope and goodness. Things Superman should focus on. She was really supportive in that barn scene and I was glad to see that they made it through that crazy night together.

I read this post a couple of times and the "end and Clark running up to help knocked up Chloe" Still cracks me up! Yes, I know thats not what you meant...but i still got a chuckle out of it. ;)
I loved that scene too. The loft scene was amazing...but my favorite was Clark helping her get up. Only because he was a little more feely then he needed to be. He had his hand on her leg for a bit. But thats probably just because I'm a chlaker...but I can dream!

Once again proving what a great team Chlark are together & she was the "one" entrusted with the "key" to Clark. :D

Yeah, I thought he was a little touchy, feely in that scene too. Seriously, though. I really felt the connection between those two in the last scene. The Chlark support system, beautiful.

Honestly...I see the same things you see....but I also see more, the potential for Chlark. I totally agree...if clark told me to focus while I was once again doing him a favor...I would have said "Well...take a seat if you think you can do better."
But, I also think the Chlark dynamic is undeniable. She is probably the most important person in his life right now. He wants to save Lana desperately because he knows she's in pain....and he feels guilty. But other then that, Chloe is always the one her turns to.
It reminds me of the movie when Harry met sally!. Stay with me people!! I have a point...i promise. Well, in that movie they made in clear that men and women cant be really good friends. Yes, the can be friends...but not best friends, because love feelings always get in the way. And as sad and probably weird as that sounds, I have always found that to be true. At a point it goes beyond friendship...and you see qualities you never saw before.
Thats probably why I love chlark so much....I'm waiting for that "duh" moment. :p. They are too close to only be friends...there has to be more there. just my opinion!!

Our perception of events are colored by our emotions.Clanas, Cloisers,Chlarkers ,we all love to ship our ships. Some folks are more (ahem) immaginative than others. In the end it will be Clois,so let the others cherish their real/immagined moments.

Chlark friendship is ONE thing, but to sit on the "sidelines", and HOPE it manifests, into a romantic thing, is another.:(
Chloe is the ONLY person, who "allows" him, to use her like that.:(
He only turns to Chloe, because he is beyond figuring things out for himself. He doesn't "appreciate" her, BUT he does EXPECT her to drop EVERYTHING going on in her life, to help him ???
The "duh" moment would be, when CK wants to give it a go. That ALREADY happened, didn't it ? Intro to Jimmy.....

I loved the transition near the beginning of the episode. Chloe and Clark are at Chloe's computer and he's so worried and pushing Chloe hard to find out about Brainiac and Kara. Then this flurry of activity ebbs and flows around them. Chloe puts on her coat and then we see Chloe exit in her trench and Clark follow and then the shot opens up as they run over to the Luthorcorp crime scene. That gave me such a thrill. :D

Trust me, I'm NOT trying to get into a debate with you. I'm only responding to this because I have to ask: Isn't that pretty much what Clark has done with Lois in the comics? Wasn't he the one who was head-over-heels for her, hoping it would turn into a romantic thing? Yet for a quite a while, she didn't return those feelings at all.
So I ask, what is the difference? It's okay for Clark to pine over Lois because she's all-that. But when it comes to Chloe, she's pathetic.
Honestly, I don't get it. Yes, we KNOW Clark ends up with Lois. It's been that way for 70 years. But still, why is Chloe's deep-rooted feelings considered pathetic when the same can be said of Clark when it comes to Lois?
While I'm thinking about it, isn't this the same Clark who many Lois/Clois fans want to see with Lois. Again, I don't get it? (PLEASE NOTE: I'm not trying to bash Lois/Clois. I like Lois okay [MoF, I enjoyed her scenes with Jimmy last night]. I just don't get why the double standard when it comes to Clark and Chloe vs. Clark and Lois).
As for Clark not being able to figure things out for himself . . . I'll agree there are times when they do make him look like the BDA (especially when it comes to Lana). But, I do not agree on him using Chloe, nor do I agree that he can't figure things out.
I think he and Chloe are that close; that he WANTS to do this together. Their relationship (IMO) transcends any and every relationship I have read about or watched on TV/movies. There's just something about Chlark!
Anyway, as for the Chlark in this episode, it was good. They got through this together, and I love that.
However, I will have to say that it befuddles me that they put her in pink for a final barn scene with Clark. Hmm, let's see . . . who's that remind me of? It was almost like watching Lana come up those stairs (not suggesting there's anything to that. I just don't ever remember her wearing light pink at any time).
Romantic or not, Chlark is extremely enjoyable for me to watch!
It will be so boring if lana will be back chloe is the best support clark can get

I am usually the optimist, but last night's episode, "Descent" really gave me the impression that the writers are trying to prepare us for Chloe giving her life for the "greater good" , in other words, for Clark. ---her little speech about all the men that were in his life for a reason; to make him the man he is today and that they sacrificed themselves not just for him but "for all of us"--- It just looked like they're really trying to set it up that she would be included with them next. :\ ----i'm not happy. not happy one bit. :(
And as great as this episode was (i gave it a 10) , this bothers me to the point i think i'm losing my passion for the show. If that's going to be Chloe's ending, my heart is no longer in it. The show will have lost all its luster to me.:(

Understand :)
While I get that alot of fans love the Chlark, I'm just getting tired of it. Him expecting Chloe, to find the Brain.
And when it comes to SV, I rarely think of the comics. BUT it is difficult to separate what's happening on SV.....because the story has already been written. Which may explain why, I'm not a big fan of the Chlark friendship.;)

interesting point; as much as I'd want to disagree with, I've fallen into that trap too many times not to know it's true.
IDK This ep's Chlark didn't have any of the same sweet undertones I'm used to. Today they were all business which is ok, definitely a platonic episode, just don't make it a habit!!:)

Honestly, I don't get it. Yes, we KNOW Clark ends up with Lois. It's been that way for 70 years. But still, why is Chloe's deep-rooted feelings considered pathetic when the same can be said of Clark when it comes to Lois?
#1 - Clark Kent is not Lois Lane's sidekick. There's a devotion that Chloe has for Clark because she's his sidekick and after Traveler I unreservedly love it. BUT when you add Chloe having a 7 year bout of unrequited love to that, especially when she's a character I love so much it just becomes self deprecating. It's like, why not date other people? Even Money Penny got a date sometimes. Ginny dated other people while Harry was clueless. NO PINING! To sacrifice yourself professionally a personally to a guy who just doesn't notice just URKS ME! I love Chloe too much to stand it.
#2 - Lois Lane doesn't have a Lana Lang. Lois doesn't have a guy that she rejects Clark for, for SEVEN YEARS.
#3 - Clois is FUNNY! I wept for Chloe during Season 5. Clark turning her down for Lana while she was devoted to him as both sidekick and hopeful lover was just stomach churning for me. It was NEVER FUNNY. It was depressing and maddening and made me hate Clark. Then I started to hate Chloe for not moving on. I think even Allison Mack had it with the PINING and thus requested that Chloe get a boyfriend. On the other hand, Lois' school girl crush on Superman is hilarious. Clark IS Superman. Also, Clark seems more amused by Lois' rejections (most of the time) than anything else.
When I think about Seasons 4 and 5 and maybe even six; Clark is whiny around Chloe. He's always whining about Lana. OR Chloe's often helping him do things he should be able to do himself. That's a writing thing. They want Chloe and Clark to work together but it ends up as Chloe telling Clark what to do. There are exceptions. In Decent, Clark thought of looking in Lionel's safe himself. But a lot of the time Clark just seems to be following Chloe's orders. This doesn't happen with Lois. Clark's wining sessions are REALLY short when Lois is around. They usually end up making me laugh, irritating Clark or making him smile. There is a level of independence between them because at first they irritated each other and now they still have this teasing sort of friction filled relationship. The few times they've worked together that dynamic is just more fun than the investigation dynamic Clark and Chloe have. Again, Decent was a wonderful example of Chlark investigations, which I enjoy even when Chloe is just pure sidekick. In Descent, Chloe gently, with actions and not words chose to go to the crime scene and urged Clark to follow her. That's new. Usually, Chloe is at Clark's service. Clark did a lot of independent thinking. Usually he doesn't. So if Chlark investigations were always like Descent... that would be wonderful but usually they are this formulaic thing that emasculates Clark a bit, makes Chloe look like a plot device/genius and despite the wonderful chemistry Clark and Chloe have... end up a lot more boring than they could be.
Clark is just more likable around Lois IMO. He has more backbone and a better sense of humor.
I think he and Chloe are that close; that he WANTS to do this together. Their relationship (IMO) transcends any and every relationship I have read about or watched on TV/movies. There's just something about Chlark!
I love Chlark I do. I just have a few prerequisites for Chlark romance that I don't think the show will give me. That doesn't mean that Chlark won't happen. I might even enjoy it if it does. But... It was very one sided in seasons 4 and 5. In season 6 I was so happy that Chloe had moved on while Clark was chasing Lana's married pregnant skirt. If Chloe had been sighing over Clark while he chased pregnant married Lana!!!!! $&@(#&@*(^@*(
Anyway, as for the Chlark in this episode, it was good. They got through this together, and I love that.
This was some of the best Chlark investigation ever. I really enjoyed it. In "Cure" I finally had a scene where Chloe tells Clark off and says she has other things to do. And here we have Chloe chasing a lead against Clark's wishes but urging him to come along. :D I loved it.
Romantic or not, Chlark is extremely enjoyable for me to watch!
I agree. I love Chlark investigations. It is a great friendship and they have fantastic chemistry.
