I have 3 points from the "Veritas" trailer that im interested, curious about:
1). Whats the key from Patricia's locket used for...?
2). Whats the threat, that Lionel was talking about at the very end...? (could it be Darkseid?)...
3). Why did they not even give us a taste of Clark's flight...? (He better at least hover in "Veritas")....
From the trailer, it looks like alot will be packed in, and if Clark does fly, i hope that they make it epic.

We will see. This would have been a good thread for the speculation forum. I'm afraid to check back here since I know spoilers will be posted.

I hope so too, but I am afraid that they have dragged out the whole "Clarkie-no-fly" thing for so long that when it does happen, it will be kind of a letdown. I mean, I was so geeked for the return of Pete, and then they kind of botched it as far as I am concerned.

i think we kinda did get a taste of clarks flight..when clark was on the ground..maybe he tried to fly but fell:lol:

I think it's a key to some type of locker with Kryptonian info.
It was strange they didn't show anything about Clark starting to learn to fly, because that's probably what it will be, a start.
However, they didn't show anything before in previews when he dove off the building, we all loved that. And they didn't show it in previews when he jumped buildings with Lois.

I think that Lionel knows about a Doomsday scenario that might happen. When Kara said that there would be a doomsday on Krypton, she meant the Kryptonian Civil War, but something makes me feel that it was connected to Earth somehow.

I think it did show a tease of Clark flying. If you watch the scene after the saying TO HIS FATE it will show Clark on the floor, maybe he fell from trying to fly or maybe something else?

You'd prolly win the bet. Because he's known about Clark (even if he didn't know who he was) ever since the 1980s. And Chloe was just born then...so yeah. :\

Yea, thats what im thinking but Brainiac is also in the episode, so he may knock him down. Trailers are always misleading in some way or fashion but I hope youre right...

I don't know..do y'all think he is actually going to fly? I mean, based off the episode description, that's what it sounds like..but the spoilers early on in the season from the producers said that if he does fly, it will most likely not be until season 8.

Maybe. The beast known as Goughlar did say that they went in and "raised the cliff" or something like that, so maybe they raised the cliff by giving us a taste of Clarkie flying... ;) Wishful thinking? :o

I dont think that they would put, "KARA TEACHES CLARK TO FLY!" as the first sentence of the description, if there wasnt even at least a second of him flying.hovering in the episode, at least Im hoping they show it... :(:D CW has known to trick and tease us...

Yea, wishful thinking. I think weve waiting long enough to see Clark fly at least for a minute or two. Are we supposed to believe that its just a light switch and that Clark can just fly all of a sudden? We need to see some progression.

03-20-2008, 10:59 PM
Yeah..I guess you're right, otherwise it would say "Kara attempts to teach Clark how to fly!" So who do you think they're talking about when they say "Clark's loved ones get caught in the crossfire"...I guess that means Lana??

Yeah...at least before the first commercial. That's how I think it should happen. We start the episode with some nice Clara bonding with Kara showing Clark how to launch himself off of the ground...in style....and doing the little pose. ;)
Kel-El09
03-20-2008, 11:05 PM
Well we definitely know that Chloe still loves Clark..but I don't know if he feels the same way. I mean to an extent I do...I just think he never went for it because he was too focused on Lana..I mean in the premiere of season 6 it seemed like Clark wanted to be with Chloe, but she had already hooked up with Jimmy while he was trapped in the Phantom Zone.

Probably Lana, Chloe, and Kara. She's standing next to Brainiac, so I'd assume so. But they say "crossfire" which makes me wonder...are they going to be shooting at each other? ;)
Nice avy by the way. Even though I didn't like Clana or Lana back then, it's still nice to see her. :)

Yea, but i suppose that itll make for a greater reveal/surprise in the actual episode, when he does some sort of flight. Porbbaly not, although I want them too, usually when theres a 2+ week gap before the new episode, there isnt a new preview :(

Yeah..I mean I still like her..I just think their relationship has lost some of its innocence, I mean after screwing lex and bizzaro (although bizzaro wasn't totally her fault) I just don't seem them as the pure little "meant to be" couple anymore.
----- Added 1 Minutes later -----
So who do you think dies?? I've kind of narrowed it down to chloe or lionel. However, the other day I was reading some spoilers, and it said that the person who dies is someone who has never "died before". (So I'm guessing nobody that has had a fake death or ressurection)

True, sometimes when you have something that was once great, and its 50%, 50% now, you want to hold onto it just in case it changes in your favor. Theyre not ready to givve up on each other just yet, althought they know, deep in their hearts, that eventually, itll come to that and it wont work out...

Agreed. Seven seasons and 15 episodes in...flight attempt is wanted by most fans. Even if he falls and gets all dirty...a lot of female Tommy fans would like that. :p Lana should have flown in "Wrath"...just to make Clarkie jealous.

Maybe they'll pull a "Gemini" on us and give a trailer two weeks in advance.

Bizarro was all Jor-El's fault IMO. He trapped Clark in the FOS and if it weren't for that, then Lana wouldn't have fallen for Bizi's looks and lies.
I think Lionel. The spoiler said "presumed dead befor", so fake deaths count (ie Chloe and Lana)
Kel-El09

Yeah..I think Lionel too! I think something with Veritas is going to backfire on him. About the Bizzaro thing..i know they both looked alike and he had all of Clark's memories, but were there not obvious things. I mean, I hate to bring it up..but Lana knows Clark can't have sex with his powers, and then all of a sudden he does it with her..and she doesn't so much as a question??

From the trailer, it looks like alot will be packed in, and if Clark does fly, i hope that they make it epic.If they plan on making his flights they way they've done with Kara's then I hope not. That looked forced and on the cheap. I'd perfer the level of CGI excellence we saw the last time Clark flew as Kal-El.
Kel-El09
03-20-2008, 11:45 PM
Yeah..I agree, Kara always has to turn and face the camera, and do something dramatic with her arms before she takes off. I hope clark can be a little more relaxed..of course it's not like Tom Welling flies that often on set, so it may not be a natural motion for him at first.

Me too. He's trying too hard to fulfill his little Veritas missions, but I bet that Lex might find out something and just permanently exterminate him. :rotfl:
I guess, but probably Lana felt like a monster after what happened in "Wrath" and she wanted to be loved. She was just willing to neglect everything if she knew that she could be loved by someone again. That's what I think at least. And maybe Bizarro kinda started and then she was reluctant and then she followed. But Bizana sex = Off the charts for me. :\ Don't wanna see any deleted scenes of that on the Season 7 DVD...
Is it just me or did the key from "Legacy" look slightly similar to that? Maybe I'm just jumping to conclusions...
Kel-El09
03-20-2008, 11:54 PM
remind me what episode legacy was again..just briefly..it should all come back to me soon! lol
----- Added 1 Minutes later -----
Also, I'm a firm believer in Clana!! and as much as I hated the bizzaro sex...it just sucked that the most revealing and intense "sex scene" wasn't even her and clark.
----- Added 2 Minutes later -----
Actually, now that I think about it, the most intense scene was in fracture with her and lex! UGH!! I'm going to have bad dreams now!!
----- Added 11 Minutes later -----
OH YEAH!! I totally remember the episode Legacy!! Actually..I agree with you! The keys do look similar, maybe it has something to do with Veritas. I'm suprised though that the writers can think that far in advance if it is the same key. I'll have to go back and watch the episode on DVD.

Yea, he needs to at least attempt it, for we need some more progression. The description said "Teaches Clark to fly," not, "Tells Clark about flying," or "Attempts to Teach." That wouldve been cool but since Clark cant fly, Lana couldnt, since his powers were transfered to her.

I think the Kara flight looks good. Especially in "Kara" whenever she took off into space. They cant do another Kal-El "Crusade" flight because that was really expensive.

I would like to see him starting to fly, too. But I've read an interview of the producers somewhere (maybe I can find it again, so I can post the link to it here) about his flying lessons from Kara in the next episode and they said, that it will be more like lessons of how to fall than how to fly.
But seeing him trying and falling would be so cute and funny anyway ;o) and he surely has to start somewhere already as it's the half of season 7.
He should have some time to get used to his flying abilities during season 7 and 8 before he finally puts the tights on, shouldn't he?
And about: "Who's going to die?" I would say Lionel, but didn't he already signed his contract for season 8?
But maybe this information was just a fake one? In order to not give the surprise of his death away too soon?

No, not right - he could just superjump, as a try to fly and then...fall :D
I don't think it could be Chloe, because she "died" already before and as fas as I remember, it has to be one, who didn't die before. So I'd go with Lionel, but he is obviously supposed to be around in season 8, too.
Wow, it's really difficult to predict that person: someone, who's there right from the beginning of Smallville and who didn't "die" before - there are not many left. I'm sooo curious...
