Did you believe Lionel? I know Clark didn't, but I did.

I think he is still a "good" guy in a sense. I think he is not beyond redemption like Clark asumes.

I kind of felt sympathetic toward him to in his talk with the freak hater guy when he was defending Clark saying he's not a threat and telling him not to hurt Clark. Lionel may be more MB than he was, but I still don't think he's all bad.

I didn't really like Lionel in this episode because I thought he was going against Clark....But The more I think about it I do think he is still tring to protect Clark in some way.......

You know what I loved about this? It is the season of reversals, right? And back then when Clark was still friends with Lex he really really tried to believe in him. Everybody else was against the Luthors but Clark stuck to them. Than even when Lex was going bad, Clark still believed in him. NOW even though I don't think Lionel is all bad, Clark is fed up and has given up on the Luthors. I want to see how this plays out, because Clark needs to get back into believing the best in people, afterall...it is what makes him Superman.

I think he'll come around by next episode or by Descent.

I still believe Lionel had changed. All the killings that he did was way before he got by Jor-El, remember when Martian Manhunter stated that he was an emissary of Jor El? So how can that change? Dont you think he is still controlled by Jor El if anything were to happen to Clark? Someone had said that Lionel may do things his own weird devious ways but he would never hurt Clark. He is there to protect him.
I still believe in Lionel as a changed man.

Lionel didnt have to do what he did to Clark. Seriously, what they had on him could have killed Clark. I wouldnt trust him either to be honest. How Clark reacted was appropriate.

Lionel will die as a 'good guy' at Lex's hands.

^ the way Clark sees it, They are beyond help and wouldnt prolly hesitate to let them die or kill them. even though he doesnt kill they are dangerous at this point.

I hope he forgives Lionel, especially if he ends up dying in the future. I believe Lionel, he just did a warped way of trying protect Clark

Lionel is protecting Clark in his own way. Lionel and Jor-El's heavy handed parenting skills seem to be similar.

I've thought that too. The two seem similar in a lot of ways. It's probably why it was so easy for Lionel to accept having a part of Jor-El in him for so long.
