I really don't get the amnesia thing

WHY are they lying to Kara about her identity?
what do they get by not telling her the truth, that's stupid

Well she was found by Lex so she trusts him. Lana and Clark obviously know Lex can't be trusted. Kara is in a position where she's vulnerable and willing to share any info about herself and memories and her past. If she knew that she was a kryptonian, Clark and Lana would assume she would tell Lex and then eventually find out the truth about Clark so they didn't tell her and not risk it. Lex also messed up their lives pretty bad so IMO they would rather have as little interaction with him as possible. Plus there was the episode Onyx where Lex split into Alexander and evil Lex. Evil Lex wanted to use Clark to help him take over the world so I'm guessing we could all assume what could happen if he found out about Kara and use her to his advantage and if he found out about Clark, he could blackmail him. Also if Clark told Kara the truth there's always the chance she wouldn't have believed him even with all the evidence (it happens). Hope this clears up some things for you. ;)

Another interesting question is why Kara hasnt accidently set anything on fire when she sees a hot guy/accidently pulled a door handle off a door when opening it/been able to to hear from long range etc etc etc

I get she has amnesia - but you dont need to be Kryptonian to activate their powers as it has been proven on the show time and time again - so why has she not freaked herself out by accidently using one of her powers?

Because apparently Kara's powers were stripped away too therefore to risk of accidental power use happening.
