Clark read the spoilers and is afraid if he gives the bracelet to Kara she will teach him to fly and he might actually have to accept his destiny.

I keep wondering this too. My guess is he is afraid she wont take the news well, and will run to Lex and tell him

As i watched the closing scenes I wondered. Why doesn't Clark give Kara her bracelelt? In the beginning of the episode they suggested it might give her her powers back yet he stuffs it away. WHY?

Ok i think it is because Kara doesn't have her memory so she will most likely react badly.. and she is very close to Lex right now so she is dangerous as well Clark is protecting her the only way he knows how

Maybe he doesn't want her to leak that information to Lex. She says that she doesn't trust him, so if she finds out about the bracelet maybe her trust in them won't be restored and she'll tell Lex which would give Lex more leads to Clark being from Krypton.
I dunno really. That's what I think.

The bracelet you ask? Forget that! Why on Earth are they keeping Kara from learning the truth about her true identity for crying out loud! Now she is right under Lexe's clutches as a result! It's so darn stupid is not even funny. They all deserve to get caught and placed as guinea pigs by Lexx as a result of their collective stupidity! Unbelievable!

Clark knows Kara doesn't have her memory and can't risk giving it to her because she doesn't trust Lana or Clark. And he can't risk her giving any more info to Lex. Besides he knows they have become close as shown when Lex found her in Detroit while she had amnesia.
Maybe CK is having issues trusting everyone on SV and is hiding it to protect himself..... or maybe he did it because he's a pack-rat and he would rather hide things in his barn than work through hard interpersonal relations with family members......

It is a stupid plot device that has been way overused in Smallville, IMO. There is a huge angsty overdrawn storyline because of secrets and lies. Enough already. Can't they come up with anything without involving secrets and lies? Logically, by now Clark, Chloe and esspecially Lana should have learned by now that it is a horrible idea to lie to loved ones and it always leads to disaster.

Clark hid the bracelet because Kara is a complete dumb*ss. Quickly climbing my list of most worthless characters (championed by Lana, of course).

considering we have 2 aliens with super powers, and Lex trying to find out all the time, I think lies and deception kinda come with the territory?

Similar to Clark hiding the blue crystal from Kara which he shattered causing her memory loss, and probably putting the bracelet will give her memories back? I don't know maybe they will connect in Traveler since Kara teaches Clark how to fly in Vertias...a clue they mentioned was "Brainiac having a upper hand over the super cousins".

Well he looked like he thought about showing it to her before he hid it. He kinda was hesitant about putting in there. I just think he didn't show it to her yet because he still hasn't talked with Lionel to find out the reason he hid the bracelet from him.

I agree totally.
Lex would put Kara straight under the microscope along with the bracelet, because we know she'd show it to him.

Exactly. Even if she does get some memories back, she'll still have the memories of her time with Lex and the time that she spent with him, so she'll probably go to him and show him that she got it back in the first place. Then Lex could do more research on Clark because Kara trusted Lex.

I think Clark is afraid Lex will take it from her. Also as Pete told Clark, Lex will stop at nothing to get to Clark so he was going to finish him off because he knows Clark can't do it himself. If Kara trusts Lex more she will get caught in his web just like Clark did, so I think that is why Clark is hesitating. I really wanted to see Clark confront Lionel.

I think he has seen how much danger the people in his life are when they have abilities they have to hide. He thinks he's protecting her...but once again he's being a BDA.

Clark didn't tell her about the bracelet because he's a ****ing idiot! I can understand the problems of telling someone with amnesia such an incredible story but Clark has done what he does best. Do absolutely nothing until the problem explodes. He has basically allowed Kara to walk right into Lex's mansion because he's too much of a chicken **** to do anything about it or be pro-active. He does every bad thing that happens to him from this point forward.

Yea as others said he probably didnt want to give it to her and tell her everything when she doesnt know who she really is because of the trust issue right now and her going to lex and would probably tell him everything and then both clark and kara would be goners.

i agree! i also think Clark talked this over with Lionel and they both agreed it might be dangerous for him if they gave it back to her right now. (Jor-El might have had some influence there as well....)

I thought he took it so that Lex can't try to get it from Lionel again. He was able to use Pete's ability to get it, maybe next time it would be something else, but nonetheless Lex will keep trying to get it. Also he doesn't know why Lionel had it, so maybe a seed of doubt has been planted in Clark's mind about Lionel.
As far as giving it to Kara, what good is it to her? She has no memory of it's importance. Lex wants to use it to find out about Kara's previous life and Kara trusts Lex more than Clark. So why would Clark give her something that could potentially hurt her?

If he gave it back to Kara, she'd go straight to Lex with it. I'm sure it's made of Kryptonian metal. He'd connect Kara to Zod and Milton Fine, and then Clark.

Clark hid the bracelet for the same reason Lionel hid it. To keep the bracelet out of Lex's clutches, especially as Lex is Kara's new BF - and roommate besides.

Two reasons: Kara is very vulnerable right now without her full memory retained and the fact that she feels close to Lex. Also I'm sure before he delves into things he wants to find out what Lionel's intentions were with holding it back.

I believe that hiding the bracelet means that Clark is actually learning from past mistakes. If you notice right now Kara is as close to Lex now as Lana was in Reckoning. Maybe Clark believes that he continues to keep the truth from Kara it will be for everyone's safety. What Clark has actually done though is lie to Kara much that it has drove her to Lex. Lana said at the start of the episode that right now the only person Kara really trusts right now is Lex because he found her.

Just because she regains power does not mean that she will regain her memory. Caution exist because with her under the influence of Lex and her regaining power without the complete return of her memory could cause some potential problems. I see the return of Kara's abilities and a team up which could lead to more 33.i concepts and the introduction of the Legion of Doom which could give Lex more screen time. He is a good character and they need Lex in it more.

Hey guys, Kara did wear that bracelet in "Fracture" or so to speak, when she was in Detroit and it didn't give her back her memories. So, I don't think, that it would do this miracle now in "Hero".

They do not have to simply hand it over to her, but they should tell her the truth for crying out loud! She is Kriptonian and as soon as she is exposed to Kryptonite the cat will be out of the bag and right in front of Lexx Luthor himself no less. It would have been far better to tell her who and what she is from the get-go!

I guess that blast of energy from the fortress erased Kara's common sense as well. Lex knew who she really was and were she lived, but still kept it from her just to spite Clark. Clark had to have told her about Lex's dishonesty when she first made it back. Then she sees that Lex lives in Smallville, that he knows Clark, and they were once close friends and still know each other very well.
A chimp could have figured out Lex was dishonest from the start. She can't be that much of an idot. Then again she is Clark's cousin.

But maybe she wouldn't react to kryptonite at all, because she lost her powers so maybe she lost that kryptonite "allergy", too?
At least, Clark lost it, too, when he lost his powers in "Leech". No powers, no kryptonite "allergy" ;)
So, I wouldn't worry about that - but again, that's Smallville, you can never be sure of anything, can you? ;)

He's probably waiting until she regains her memory, so that Lex won't catch wind.
