And I do not care if it is a filler, as when done right there is absolutely nothing wrong with filler. Besides that with Pete returning, Clark's secret at the forefront of discusison, and Lionel's true motives being a topic of conversation, I hardly think this will qualify as forgettable filler.

Yes, he would have... thinking about it makes me happy. This episode is boring.... they could have done so much more with it - not given Pete powers and just had them catch up about what has changed etc in Smallville.......
