this was one of the best episodes in the series. i loved how dark this episode was. i know there is alot of frustration with the lack of supermanism from clark. however, i really think that the show is finally taking a really good direction at this point. there were a couple really weak episodes this season, but for the most part, this has been an outstanding season for smallville.
i loved how clark rushed to detroit, saved lois and kara and then bolted out of there with out being detected. it was very heroic and superman like.
the only thing i would have changed in this episode was the whole "getting into your mind" theory. i know lex is suppose to be later portrayed as a scientific genious, however i think its too early for him to be coming up with technology to get into the brains of human beings. it almost seems too alien. with that said, it would have been really cool to see the martian manhunter use his powers to get into lex's mind and figure out where lois and kara were.
anyways, this was a pretty solid episode on my part. also, the writers should have had clark training by force when jor-el held him punished at the fortress instead of just being frozen. just thought id throw that in.
