Yeah, I read a breakdown of pretty much the whole episode, and it didn't sound all that appealing. It's funny how they can string together the best clips of an episode, and make the preview look interesting. I've seen quite a few movies like that. Basically if you've seen the trailer, there's no real need to see the movie.
In fairness, on Digital Spy and SFX it appears that I am in the minority. Some are acclaiming it the best ever. It just didn't work for me.

I changed my mind. I actually did enjoy this episode. Not so much the episode itself really, but I guess the premise of it. That someone or something could invade or embed itself into everyone's memories, is pretty cool.

This episode was awesome! Excellent acting by John Barrowman, wow!
Oh the premise is fine, though it's been done before. Just can't remember where ;) One of the US Sci-Fi shows anyway, Stargate perhaps?
Have kept it on my Sky+ (Tivo) so am going to give it another view over the weekend...

I liked Adam a lot (better than Reset, not as good as Meat). They seem to have found a grove that I enjoy. Hope they keep it up.

Remembered it... similar to Buffy "Superstar", though at least we already knew the character and it was played more for laughs. :)

I finally got to see this.

watching the opening credits I thought, too, of Superstar and Jonathan! Nice to know I wasn't the only one.
An interesting premise and I liked the changes in the team--Owen especially. I have intensely disliked him from the start so this was a nice change.
Tosh had her own version of Chloeveage!
And Ianto keeps a diary? Interesting. I hope he keeps it locked up somewhere otherwise....
Jack's memories...I was actually a little disappointed (And did anyone else think Grey was a girl at first? Until Jack said "did you see him?" I though Grey was a girl with that hair and body!). It didn't feel like the far-flung future and the boy didn't seem a whole lot like Jack. I don't know, I just kind of felt let down. We've waited all this time to hear about Jack's past in the 51st Century and this...didn't give me a sense of "oh wow" like I thought it would. *shrugs*
Loved Jack bringing Ianto back to himself and the whole scene in the boardroom. Tosh's stuff was absolutely hearbreaking, as was Jack's "I saw it". Made me want to hug them both.
Gwen's admission of love for Jack (and we've known that is how she's felt for a LONG time) was nicely done.
But I think Ianto's was also handled well. Like he didn't exist before Torchwood. I would SO love to know more about him (Ianto has quickly surpassed even Tosh as my favorite. Ok, maybe tied with Jack!). ANd that sweet kiss on the forehead, no words needed. Brilliant.
A very nice episode, if a bit too neatly wrapped up. Though I did love Jack's "measuring tape never lies" line. (Does Ianto mouth the word "bugger" there? Looks like it!)
