I'm a big fan of both Dr who and Smallville, so i thought what would it be like if Dr who merged with Smallville in an episode or two.
It would be cool if the Doctor met Clark Kent. They colud relate to each other because they are both Heroes, and they are both are the last of their kind.
How do you feel on my crazy suggestion?
Post your feelings on this forum.
I already know that it will be hard to come true because Dr who is filmed in Cardiff and Smallville is filmed in America, but a girl can dream!
:rotfl:  :D

Funnily enough, it was this sort of thinking that made me start my first (and only) fanfic:
http://www.kryptonsite.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=77527
Actually, Smallville was mentioned by Russell T Davies (along with Buffy and Angel) as one of the "better American shows" in his original pitch document for Doctor Who series 1.
Personally, I'd love to see the Doctor Who team take charge of Smallville for a few episodes, if only to inject their brand of fun and inventiveness into a series that can be a little too earnest for its own good.

And to give the Clex shippers something to enjoy ;)
Anyway, I'd not like CK to meet the doctor. Superman on the other hand...

Hell yes! That would be awesome. It could be like the Doctor either landing in Smallville and put together with Clark to help save Smallville, as usual ;) .... or, Clark could maybe be in Doctor Who's London, which would really be Cardiff, which would mean that I could go out and look for Tom Welling and get an autograph since I live in Cardiff :D... but that will never happen. If anything it will be the Doctor going to Smallville, which would make more sense :/

YES! I can see it now....
Clark is in the barn working on that perpetually broken tractor, & Shelby begins barking. Soon we hear that familiar sound of the Tardis, and it appears outside.
The Doctor helps Clark & the gang on whatever the nightly mission may be (He also tries to persuade Chloe to travel with him as his new companion). When the episode is wrapping up, he returns to the farm to find his Tardis missing. Lex has had it shipped off to some warehouse, for testing. Lol!
Since the hour is almost up, I guess that means we get a continuation episode. :p
----- Added 12 Minutes later -----
In the continuation episode, we find out that the Doctor has just come from New York City. The reason he is now without a companion, is because Martha Jones chose to stay in New York with her new love interest........ Peter Petrelli! :p

Hi, this is my first post. Like Newbaggy, I've written my own DoctorWho/Smallville Crossover, on completely independent lines. I think Newbaggy will find the contradictions between mine and his a source of great amusement. So, without further ado, I shall go ahead and post it up. I of course voted for the Doctor and Clark to meet.;)

Have you read Ostreatus all through yet? I also recommend Newbaggy's Regeneration fanfic in the same section.

That would be cool but it would make more sense for Torchwood to meet Clark. After all, they are the one's who are supposed to 'catch aliens'. Many a time I've wondered why someone doesn't reference Clark or Krypton on Torchwood (proof that there are nice aliens out there, ok, fictional but still...).

Torchwood hunting down Clark Kent, an alien who had invaded Earth from his Spaceship, the Torchwood Team will track down Clark, or in this case an explosion will kill everyone except Jack and Clark, since Clark is invulnerable to Heat, and Jack could come back to life, regenerate his body even, but still Clark will just run away from Torchwood or just use his Super Strength and send them flying, or even better freezing them with Ice Breath.

It would be hilarious for the Doctor to meet Clark Kent. Some casual fans of SV may not get Dr. Who. It might be a bit of a culture shock... It would be hilarious though.

You know, all this talk about how cool it would be for Clark Kent meeting the Doctor can't help but get me wondering what a young Doctor would've been like: someone way before he decided to leave Gallifrey. I'm glad that CBBC decided to ditch that Young Doctor series idea - if the 1st Doctor as an old man was someone bordering on villainy and acted very sinister as shown in the beginning, then a younger version of that man would hardly have been a children's role model himself!
If anything, i imagine he would've been the ULTIMATE rebel: this was someone who used to be pals with the Master, the Rani, the War Chief - later to become some of Gallifrey's biggest criminals, for crying out loud! As an old man he broke his own planet's laws just to get away, just to explore the universe, and took his granddaughter with him, placing her in danger. AND he was someone who knew Venusian Aikido and got low grades, whilst constantly annoying his tutor Borusa. A young, rebellious Doctor, far from becoming the hero that arguably Ian and Barbara slowly taught him to be. And if that Doctor met Clark Kent, looking down on humans and acting like an arrogant git, i must admit that would be a confrontation i'd like to see!
Well, that or just a plain old "falling out" fight between him and the Master, kicking and punching the living daylights out of each other! :D

Lol! Great ideas!
Since i first created this forum i've been meaning to write a story but i've only got 5 pages and it's no where near finished. i was wundering if anyone here would like to write a story crossover for me along these lines-i definately read it!
TARDIS, breaks down and lands in modern day Kansas. Doctor and Martha hiotch lift into town#Chloe gets info about a blue box, and with thew recent murders, it sounds suspicious.#Dr and Martha get to Metropolis,go to Daily planet, find Clark and Chloe, Dr knows who Clark is(Superman)they talk, save the world against an evil monster and the TARDIS is fixed, dr and martha disappear leaving an inspired clark and choe. THE END
^ Sounds good. Can I offer a suggestion?
The evil monster should be an alien who knows about kryptonians and their powers, and who is a past enemy of the doctor. It came to kansas and killed people in order to frame the doctor, knowing that clark would use his super powers to stop the doctor. And by the time clark and the doctor have become friends, the evil monster has realised the sun has given himself powers too.
Also please include a scene where clark mentions krypton being blown up, and the doctor replies 'I'm sorry. I'm so sorry.' :)

Funny you should mention that... ahem, cough cough.
I think any fanfic introducing the Doctor and Clark to each other and indeed a real script for a movie or special episode involving them would cover much the same territory. Newbaggy and I have separately covered that territory, and I am looking forward to smallville0001's version when it is ready. Perhaps Pesk you should have a crack at it too. Maybe we should have a campaign! Alas, the BBC frown on unsolicited scripts, even if is sent as a funny fanfic as a present for the production crew to laugh at. Plus, the legal and copyright knots, the wages, the, the, the, just about every other problem!
That's why crossovers will sadly never happen. :\ But there is one hope- it is WB who distribute Doctor Who DVDs in America- I found that out from the WB website! If I am right- they were certainly advertising it as if it was their show- which makes me wonder who actually shows it in the States. American friends, any info on that one?
My original idea, by the way, was to have the Daleks invade Smallville and Metropolis, but then I realised that the Rutans were absolutely perfect doubling up as Smallville villains.
I wish I had more feedback on the story, especially the controversial little twist cutting across arguments common in both Doctor Who and Smallville fandom!:rotfl::rotfl:
Oh well. Most Smallville fanficcers seem to be shippers. A complex show like Smallville and they only zoom on that, when they could throw that in with everything else for a complete package!
I have a humorous twist all lined up in the future for Chloe's destiny, which will raise a smile amongst Smallville/DC Comics/Doctor Who fans.
Well, let's just say the revelation will have Superman and the Doctor laughing their legs off in amused disbelief.;) Alas, it will be 2016 before we get there, the way I'm going!
PS. I don't think the Doctor was originally villainous at all. He was certainly arrogant, paranoid and immature, anti-heroic, but your description sounds more like the Doctor of the abandoned Pilot Episode and not the transmitted version of An Unearthly Child. Certainly Ian and Barbara mellowed him, but I think the character had a lot of issues stemming from his exile and was very frustrated, needing to get away from the stifling nature of Time Lord society, and if you look at the notes of those who constructed the series, there was some sort of tragedy, and the Doctor went to the TARDIS to escape punishment- a hint to the catastrophe is in the Brain of Morbius. I think Morbius is a key figure in the Doctor's escape. Or could be. Something horrible happened to Gallifrey in that period. The Doctor alone with his granddaughter points to some kind of family tragedy. The War Games explains something of the Doctor's behaviour in the beginning of the series (allowing for the show being made up as it went along by different people with different ideas), I think the Doctor was always a hero but lost his way and was damaged by whatever brought his exile with Susan.
I certainly have many ideas on this, and have in the back of my head the Young Doctor Chronicles. At least one fanfic of this was written back in 1999, involving the Jedi in the Galactic Republic just after the events of the Phantom Menace. Well, enough waffle from me.

Great idea Pesk! I'll have a think about, and i'll try to add the'I'm sorry.Im so sorry.'bit.
by any chance did you get that from Turn Left?
^ I made that post before I saw turn left.
He seems to say it about every other episode. And now rose is saying it too!

He wasn't quite a villain - there were moments even in An Unearthly Child where he would show some sympathy for his reluctant companions - but there was a certain streak of darkness to him which made him a very untrustworthy character. Remember, there was a moment where it seems that the Doctor was perfectly willing to kill an injured caveman just to run away - as well as lying to his companions and endangering them when he wanted to see that abandoned city on a planet called Skaro (now THERE was a fateful meeting if ever there was one!) I would like to imagine the young Doctor as a form of reluctant hero, but one who also embarks on a similar path to darkness that Lex did in Smallville. If we think about the 1st Doctor when we first saw him, he could've gone either way: hero or villain, depending on how great his need was to protect his only family. I still believe that Ian and Barbara were crucial into shaping him into the hero he is now, just as Rose was important to helping the Doctor get over the Time War.
In my head for a Young Doctor series, the similarities between the Doctor and the Master would need to be CRUCIAL. I'd love to see the young doctor display some initial ruthlessness towards his friend-turned-enemy, someone who dangerously believes in the "greater good." He should be someone who has certain naive illusions about the universe completely shattered, someone pushed to the same limits as the Master was, whilst still showing a mostly hidden streak of goodness in him. I must admit that i'm still very intrigued by something the Doctor said in the 3rd serial of the original series, The Edge of Destruction. "One man's law, is another man's crime." The family tragedy angle is certainly an interesting one. Perhaps something happened to that brother he mentioned (i'm glad they got rid of that "Master-is-Doctor's-Brother" rumour, BRILLIANTLY handled, RTD!), or a major feud between his son(s) or daughter(s).
One more reason why i'm glad this series won't realistically get made: ENDLESS speculation of this awesome show that should never be made! Anyone else got any other ideas to bring into the mix, something else i've overlooked?
One more pointless thing: if there were one word titles for the eps, they would HAVE to use these 3 for the FINAL 3: "Medusa", "Lord", and "Master". Just because. :p
