I love it when the writing all comes together on accident. So it seems Lex's agenda for cloning involved cloning perfect versions of everyone he once liked or loved. All of this to give himself a second chance.
That's really selfish. It's also very Lex-like.
Clark is always a step behind the person(s) causing trouble. The problem I have with this is that after 6 years of investigating public records and "putting two and two together" why is Clark unable to at least match these super-powered baddies at their own game? Lex doesn't rely on luck to establish evil plans, he just does it. Yet Clark ALWAYS relies on luck to defeat an enemy.
It's almost like Lex continues to evolve into an even eviler Lex while Clark's character remains stagnant (almost like he's been frozen in a far away place :D).
