Why does Kaito say to Adam, who was known to all the others as being so dangerous that they all decided to lock him up, "Of all of them, I didn't expect it to be you." Wouldn't Adam be his first guess?

(I actualy almost expected it to be Peter who was the hooded man)

I think because he thought that Adam was locked up. He never imagined that Adam could break out.

That quote seemed based on his character. Not so much the fact that he'd escaped. Felt that way to me atleast.

Yet based on his character we every reason to assume it would be him. We maybe not Kaito. Still he was part of the group and went along with them in locking him up out of danger/fear.

Not known for sure he could have sided with adam so he expected someone else to want him dead.

Adam was my original pick to be the hooded man, but tonight, I almost thought it was Pete there for a minute. :\

Adam/Kensei was my original pick as well (I called the whole Kensei-still-being-alive thing almost immediately after learning he could regenerate).

I'm sure Kaito knew Adam was coming based on the fact that his symbol was on the pictures. I got the impression he meant "I never would have imagined that you would be the one to kill me", which implies that him and Adam were likely close friends at some point.

Kaito probably told Hiro all those stories of Takezo Kensei based off his respect for Adam.

I wonder why he said them though? Isn't that suspicious?

Who else would it be besides Adam? Unless if Kaito's death was perpetrated by the company.

I think that, somewhere along the lines, the group wanted what Adam had, his immortality, for themselves, Kaito was probably against that and he was surprised that Adam would be after him becuase of it, probably because he didn't know what Hiro did to Adam in the past and how Adam wants to punish Hiro, IF that is the storyline they are thinking of following, just speculating here...

Maybe he didn't expect it to be the head guy taking him down. I'm sure he knew that Adam broke out - I'm sure they were all alerted by Bob even if they weren't on friendly terms.

I STILL think there is someone else out there - besides that last lady - that is working some strings.

I don't think Kaito ever thought that Adam Munroe was in fact Takezo Kensei. I think the only one that knows that is the person who knew him when he WAS Takezo Kensei...Hiro.

Hiro said to his younger self when he said "I am Kensi", "Yes, you are".
