I just read the article on comingsoon.net (hope I'm not breaking forum "rules" by commenting on a different website). This is awesome news!!! I just hope FOX doesn't screw him over like they did with Firefly. It sounds interesting and just another one of Whedon's imaginative masterpieces. I can't wait!!!

i was hoping to use this news to post my first thread :(
lol...but anyways, although i'm a huge (and i mean monstrous) whedon g33k, i'm very pessimistic about joss and fox getting along. the show sounds really neat, but in the back of my head i'm wondering how many of those seven eps. will be aired.

Especially with the debacle over Firefly. I hope FOX pulls their head out of their fifth point of contact and allows Whedon to do what he does best.

True, but I read an interview yesterday and Joss said he gets along great with them.
I love the plot of the show. Eliza will be a different "Echo" for every episode. So cool.

I just read it in Variety! Should have known KSite posters would already know:lol:
They could start filming in the Spring, if the looming Writers strike doesn't mess up everything!
I loved Firefly:D

Aww this kills firefly spin off, but hell yea!! Joss is amazing!!
wait...wait... oh please.. it's on fox.... i doubt they've learned from all the other 9 billion shows theyve canceled...

Actually they will be filiming before Spring. Joss already had the plot for the 7 scripts, however, he is part of the Writer's Guild and is striking. So it'll be pushed back a while. :(

A new Spike series, buffy series, angel series, or firefly series would be amazing, why is he doing a completely different show with Elisha dushku...

hmm, i'd think i'd like to know why FOX more than why Dushku...
but i guess options are limited since everyone likes to screw him over...

^ Because Dushku has a deal with FOX, so she got to choose her next project and who she wanted to work with.

hmm, yeah well that sucks
we'll just have to see if FOX is going to play good network or bad network :rotfl:

Well, I think the show will get lots of viewers since Joss has been MIA in the tv world for a while (minus his "The Office" production).

Joss always has the most amazing concepts. He's a genius. And I am glad he is starting with a "fresh" idea.

I liked Eliza in Tru Calling, but the idea of this show just doesn't interest me too much. I might try it out though.

Amy Acker's involvement is all the more reason to watch, but I am not sold on the concept of the show yet. It sounds a bit out there, more than usual. But I will reserve my judgment until I see the show. Maybe they can bring in J. August Richards as a lawyer ;) (I think I am the only one on the planet that liked Conviction, which he was on after Angel).
