Shouldn't Jimmy and Kara be included in the poll, they're considered regulars now aren't they? Or are they not in this episode or something? I don't read the spoilers so I wouldn't know...
And what the hell two people already voted for Lana when the episode hasn't even aired yet?

I was going to vote Clark because of how Supermanish he was in the ep, but I voted Lana because I really liked her in this episode; tons more compared to the past couple episodes she's been in. I hope she'll be written like this consistently in the future.

Lana was too creepy in this entire epi, she had a stalker vibe going......she was everywhere.....the maryjane greenhouse(swear that woman was growing pot), aunt nells, lol, scary how she's perfected lying and feigning innocence. atleast the LL's (lionel + lex) realize she isn't dealing w/ a full deck.

Jimmy did the best in this episode by far.
Crispin Glover

I voted for Lex; I really saw his evil side being covered up. Also, the Magnificent Bastard is back. Lana did a good job of telling Clark not to stay for her. It was pretty good all around. Lois really going after a story even when the editor tells her not to.

"Action" was a truly wonderful Luthor episode, complete with divorced Lana Luthor, who may not use the name anymore, but still has the attitude :)

Lionel. I loved the way John Glover acted. I also liked Lex, though he didn't have a lot of screentime.
Lex - Lana = interesting Lex
I loved that scene between him and Clark. I thought he had a very strange tone in his voice when he was telling Clark about the Warrior Angel comics. I was very interested in his final scene at Belle Reve. It seems like Smallville Lex will know that Clark is Superman. I don't think they will even try to hide it anymore. Unless something happens (like Kal-El shows up) and Lex believes that there is an alien who looks like Clark but isn't him. Or if Kal-El wears a suit/disguise and takes Lex's attention away from Clark and convinces Lex that he (not Clark) is Naman, but for this to happen Lex will have to see them both together.
Awwww, now I wish I could change my vote. I already voted for Chloe because she is ALWAYS my favorite even when she doesn't get much screen time (which makes me sad). But now that I think about it Lionel was by far the best tonight. I thought John Glover did an excellent job. Killing that woman - freaky!

Lana was the most interesting person by far for me tonight. Lionel being a victim and vicious in his revenge was a close second. But he better beware the return of Lana who was scary and, yet, with Clark around was more beautiful than I have seen in a long time. Her gaze into CLarks eyes was touching and by the end of that scene, it seemed clear to me that she now knows just how valuable Clark will be to the world and that one day she will have to let him go, just like she also said at the end of the show.
More Clana like this!

I call him that because he is halfway between Clark Kent and Superman. He saved the movie star and Lana tonight, actions worthy of Superman. He sidled off after Lana, typical of the actions of teenager Clark, hence ClarkMan.
He is not a man in the full meaning of the term in mental maturity. Kara will be fine away from Smallville, anywhere else she is very unlikely to run across Kryptonite and she is invulnerable otherwise, she will not get hurt.

I love love loved Lois in this episode also. But Lana was a lot of fun.
Lionel was also enjoyable. So was Lex.

Chloe was good, but she didn't really shine in the sense that she was regulated to her role as side kick and google user and the fact that she whined about Jimmy a couple of times. Allison looked hot at the start of the episode in that Veronica Mars-like hair style. Yummy. :)
Lex was also underwhelming this episode (not his fault, it was just the story), but I loved that no matter how hard he tries Lex is always stymied in his search for the truth on Clark.
Lana was deliciously evil this episode, but I am hoping that Clark doesn't give Lana a pass on all these evil deeds when he learns of them. Nice to see an edge to Lana, however. Whatever the outcome.
Lois and Lionel really stole the show this episode. I loved how he dealt with desperate situation he was in and how he essentially goes rank on Marilyn at the end. Lois was great playing the investigative reporter, even if she hasn't got the hang of things yet. Lois also looked very hot in glasses.

I thought this epi, while not jaw-droppingly amazing, was really good to all of the regulars.
Clark grappled with being a Superman once again; very interesting that the "alone" aspect of heroism is being put before him yet again for 3 episodes running. His tenderness towards people in general is always very Supermanly -Lana included. I like Clana when Clark is being mature, protective, and sweet. It's only when he's reduced to begging and pale palpitations that I sigh and groan and wish the kryptonite would be removed. :)
Lana had a strong episode, her colors revealed to be early-season Lex. I really enjoy any scene where she's Lana Luthor. It's nice payoff for season 6. (Sometimes I wish there'd be a longterm referrence to Isobelle -despite the horror of Spell- because KK did such a good turn as her in Sacred.) Probably the scene that would stay with me most is the Lana-Lionel talk in the barn; it followed so smoothly from their scenes in Nemesis; and my fave shot in "Promise" was when Lionel, half in shadow and half in light, kisses Lana and welcomes her to the family. Classic SV. p.s. a nod has to be made to her last speech to Clark; such a nod to comics' final say on Clana and for the first time since her return, I think Lana does still love Clark sincerely and knowingly. She's just distracted by her mad obsession for revenge, that's all. ;)
Lex. 1) I really liked his scene with Lois in the dark office where he challenged her about whether she was any different than all those other "expose-writing" journalists. His demeanor seemed sincerely "good": stern and dignified, not at all over-the-top or vicious, yet worthy of warning. At that point, I thought maybe he thought he'd really reformed. Good stuff. ('course it helped that Lois-Lex is such a mythos showdown; great to see the warring begin). I also really liked 2) his scene with Clark in the library. The quiet intensity and his calm recital of Warrior Angel quotes -not to mention his allusions to their past friendship- were all riveting. Last but most excellent 3) his Belle Reve entry. Akin to "Subterranean", I think it was great to have all his good guy stuff thrown out the window as he -still genteely- offers gifts in exchange for knowlege. The fact that he chooses to quote Devilicus to a comics' crazed freak, standing there in black under the cold white lighting, really made me feel like saying "Comic's geek, meet the real legendary comic's archnemesis: Lex Luthor!" IMO it was as good as any of the parallels shown with Clark/superhero in the episode. :)
Lois. She's back! Her entry was great with her spelling out Lane on the phone; a "make no mistake" moment that this girl is now the real thing: an investigative journalist for the Daily Planet. Wow. :) I was also blindsided by her undercover disguise. Loved it! And as I mentioned above: loved her confrontation with Lex. She didn't back down; she didn't quiver; but she wasn't pure brash either. She simply stated her facts and taught Lex something. Good stuff. Probably the best thing Lois-wise was her scene with the editor at the end. There was spunk and confidence and a kind of simmering happiness of a girl who knew she was in her element. She didn't take no for an answer and she made yet another man in a powerful position shake his head with a smile at her departure. I loved how she was like "You can't fire me; I never accepted"! I also loved her parting shot: "If I was really your a1, then you'd be my arm candy" or whatever. Hehhee, delivered so Lois Lane.
Chloe! I liked her in the opening scene; very cute and impish but a little despondent over Jimmy. Not brooding though, which was nice. Most of her action happened off-screen, what with establishing an identity for Kara Kent that held up even under LuthorCorp scrutiny. I thought Clark speeding back to brainstorm with Chloe right after the threatening vid message from the fotw was a bit ill-advised and pointless; Clark should've been able to figure that part on his own without Chloe prodding the thinking process. After all, that time no computer was required. *sigh* It was also a bit weird that Chloe was shown yet again having a friend hand over to her a scoop w/o any effort on her part. (Jimmy in Fierce; Clark re: celeb interview) Maybe to underscore her overall dissatisfaction these days?
Lionel was fierce and bearded, as usual. I didn't dig the whole Marilyn stuff; reminded me of the Teague's torture and Mercy's games. But I did really enjoy his barntalk with Lana; he's obviously keeping a keen eye on her. Good stuff.

Yeah, the barntalk with Lana was enjoyable.
JG & KK just bring out the best in each other when they act together. Reminded me of last season's 'Promise' when Lionel warned her to marry Lex or else....

Such a good father/daughter vibe. On the other end of the spectrum from Lois/Jonathan's casual sweetness.
S6's "Nemesis" made me think that Luthor had found the true Lionel heir he'd never had, lol. He was so devilishly approving.
