You...Realise this probably means an episode of DONNNNAAAAAAAR! don't you?
Nah it won't, she's not in it until S3E1. At most this'll be between S3&4.
Though rumours are that it's the Davison appearance...

Any details on who's writing the episode, and what kind of length we can expect?
You've seen as much as I have. All there is around is speculation on the other forums I go on that I obviously aren't allowed to mention here.

What speculation is on other forums?
You're allowed to mention/link Outpost Gallifrey if that's a worry - Shaun Lyon is one of my friends. :)
No, not OG. Too nerdy for me ;)
Shall mention by name but not link so you can decide Craig - DigitalSpy and SFX Magazine.

I'll echo russel for once - BURILLIANT! It warmed me right through to my cockles seeing davison again...I came over all sentimental, and moffat bless him...he echoed each and every one of my sentiments towards peter.
It was pretty good, I liked how his grey hair was given an explanation.
DT's doctor came on a little strong though, almost bouncing off the walls with excitement. He was just so goshdarn happy to see himself. By the end it was like, 'oh just get a room'.

I really loved the "Time Crash" special. Steven Moffatt is a writer with a genuine love and affection for Doctor Who that you see in all of his scripts. This episode was no exception.

Brilliant, for the same reason that the 1999 Comic Relief story "Curse of Fatal Death" was brilliant - Steven Moffat yet again managed to send up the sillier side of "classic Who" ("Look at me! I can save the universe with a kettle and a bit of string... and I'm wearing a vegetable!") whilst creating an unashamed love letter to that era ("I love being you!").
Actually, it was also a great reminder of Who's great strengths compared to the likes of Heroes and Lost and Battlestar Galactica. No other fantasy show can be both so knowingly ridiculous at times and yet so incredibly romantic (and I don't mean in a "does the Doctor fancy his companion?" sense) and idealistic.
