Okay this is another idea of mine that I've turned into story format to be easier on everyone lol.

Anyway enjoy Part 1 and tell me if you want more.

Prototype : Part 1

It may have been early in the morning or late in the afternoon when I woke up, I couldn’t tell. As I tried to figure it out though a sharp pain snaked through my right arm and left ankle. Not too serious though, at least in my experience. It was on days like this, especially today, that I wished my mother was here and that I could just be normal. Alas it was too late for that.

My mom was probably in New York or who knows where else. I on the other hand was just the glorious experimental weapon for these psycho scientists that were holding me here. In fact it’d been a long time since I’d been outside the bulky, durasteel walls for anything other then combat training. I excelled at the training. That’s probably because I’ve been in this place and have been trained like some kind of Spartan for seven years or maybe something as simple as instinct.

Whatever the case, I raked in the points during the training. In fact, the only thing gets me in hot water with the egg heads upstairs is my refusal to kill. They want some all powerful secret weapons. I refuse to play their little game.

Just then I heard an alarm above me, cutting off my thoughts. My escape plan came to mind moments later though. I was tired of these psychos and this rat hole. I promised myself today (which just so happened to be my birthday, April 7th.) I was finally getting out and going to have a normal life.

But if I was going to try an escape today, as much as I hated the food there I was going to have to eat a meal for energy later. So I opened the door of my small, cubicle-like room and walked down the long hallway turning left toward the cafeteria. On my way there I passed a few groups of other teens like me as well as a few older people. Also on my way I passed a few scientists wheeling around cages. I heard the occasional growl or gasp for air sound from them. I shook my head. I always felt sad. I knew along with a few others what this place was. Sadly others did not. We were all just grand experiments and puppets to these nuts and there entire secret lab.

Most other experiments weren’t as “normal” as me though. Others could be half animal, part machine, tested to see if they could move around without some vital organs replaced with some techno heart or something. It was sick. These idiots were playing God. It always made my blood boil. But if I escaped today I swore I would take this precious clubhouse of theirs down.

I bumped into a scientist as I neared the cafeteria. “Sorry buddy.” I said walking away. I heard him mouth a comment to his buddy. I was too busy in escape mode to care though. And once inside I grabbed a Styrofoam plate from the stack and got in line. As I got closer though I caught an all too familiar whiff of the grand delicacy we lab rats called slop. Trust me when I say this stuff was gross. Think of something that looked like gray oatmeal mixed with pudding. Then something that smells like rotten eggs and sulfur.

Yeah, told ya so. And I caught another good whiff when the ooze was poured on my plate. About the only good thing about this stuff though was that it really gave you some energy.

But I took my plate and moved along and grabbed the cup of water they gave us and headed for a table near the exit. And I sat down and dug in. If you think the slop looks bad though I have to say it tastes much worse. Like dirty socks and jalapeños.

I managed to choke down the slop though and then gulped down the cool water. Then I took a few seconds to see if the taste would leave my mouth. Unluckily it didn’t…at least for a little while. After I threw out my trash and slipped out. Hopefully no one would notice I was gone. I mean these nuts think their so smart but they have little to no guards in this dump. I smiled at that comment; hopefully it would make my getaway easier. I checked myself though as I began to run down the hallways toward the front of the complex. ‘Don’t get cocky! I told myself, this is still the easy part.’ I ran down the hall lightly not feeling anything, a bonus to being a Spartan trained freak. Just a little further and I would be feeling fresh air though.

Suddenly as I got closer to the exit I heard some small talk coming from some guards stationed near the front. “So what did you think of that baseball game?” the first guard asked.
“It was alright…” the second commented.

I took a breath stopping. This was the only chance I was gonna get at this. To help myself I thought about everything. I had been so miserable here always training, barely surviving, and more. Then I exhaled and looked ahead. I was out of here.

And I took off straight forward. But just my luck a guard spotted me.

“Hey kid stop right there!” he screamed sprinting out after me his pal in tow.

I turned back and stopped. “You guys are making a big mistake.” I said getting into fight mode. These losers weren’t stopping me.

“Yeah right.” the first said his silver guard hat slipping off his head a little, uniform rustling also His counterpart slowing a bit.

“Alright, if you really want to get beat.” I said smiling. Then he held his gun before me and fired. I was used the gunfire though and I just moved a bit dodging. Then I slammed the side of his face with my fist and swept my right leg into his legs catching him off guard. The guard then hit the floor and lay there unconscious.

I smirk at the other one. He seemed the cowardly out of the two and he just took off. I shook my head with a smile and ran on.

This seemed so surreal though but I was finally free! And I enjoyed the moment as I felt the sun heat my body and the wind blow into me, crisp and cool. And I gulped in a breath of air. Freedom. I came to my senses then. I was the golden boy of experiments and the big wigs upstairs would be after me before I knew it. I had to get as far away as possible.

So I took off again racing through the woods, cool wind pelting my face.

And despite the fear and uncertainty racing through my veins as I ran to civilization I felt my heart leap.

“Best birthday ever!”

AWESOME DUDE.

It was a lot like Dark Angel (same idea, scientists experimenting on people), and yea, I see where you get the Wolverine. Can't wait for ya to update it. :D
