Season 4 FINALE Spoilers revealed

DOCTOR Who bosses are set to call back FOUR of the Time Lord’s favourite assistants – including Billie Piper – for a sensational showdown. The old cast members will be reunited to help the Doc fight evil Dalek creator Davros in an explosive finale to the next series.

Leading the way in the line-up will be Billie (Piper) as Rose Tyler along with the rest of the Tyler family; they will hook up with the Tardis traveller’s latest assistants Martha Jones and Donna Noble. Also on hand to help out the Doc will be his old companion Sarah Jane Smith as well as Torchwood boss Captain Jack Harkness. Even the Time Lord’s dog K-9 will make an appearance.

The TV source said: "This is the daddy of all shows. The writer Russell T Davies really wants to pull out all the stops for the finale next year."

I remember there being rumors that Sarah Jane Smith was going to be taken away with Martha's family in last year's finale, by the Master, but that never panned out either.

I would love to see Sarah on the "real" series though. But also, four "stars" to me would be if they got four people from yesteryear. "Donna Noble" doesn't seem like a star to me.

Yeah, no lie. I think a lot of the who fans out there who remember the series pre eccleston would agree that the current roster of companions for the most part fall short on the impact scale when it comes to our beloved doctors and assistants of yesteryear.

For a start, I'd love to see ace back. Yeah yeah, I know, but I have a soft spot for sophie...She's about the only person in the world that can drink me under the table. :D

Ace was a great companion, in fairness - it was only some insipid writing that made it appear otherwise. When the stories were good (not often admittedly!), she showed how good she was.

It just shows, the series works better with at most a Father/Daughter relationship between the leads, instead of a will they/won't they. Other than that, an intellectual equal like Romana is best.

I agree. I'd like to see peter, sylvester, tom and even colin back in action if they can make it happen though.

I just hope you won't need to watch torchwood or sarah janes' kids show to understand what's going on when the characters return.

Nope. Unlikely. Sarah Jane isn't best loved by many people, and Torchwood is wrapped up and waiting to air in the new year.

Sarah Jane's OK, though VERY much a kid show. Reminds me of watching stuff like the Demon Headmaster with my little bro - he's 12 years younger than me, so it was like I shouldn't be watching.

Still, persevering with it, beneath it's got a lot of good things.

Like Sarah Jane, I agree. The problem is, it seems a bit..desperate. Like RTD is trying to be desperately recognised for his impact on BBC entertainment.

well that came from a fan who claimed he saw the episode early not from a newspaper

In my experience, that's not a very hard thing to do.

Apologies to the lieing tabloids! With the exception of K-9 that does appear to be happening at this stage!

I also wondered about the Brigadier and then wished they added a sequence where its explained they actually tried only that the briagdier had invited Sarah Jane and her adopted son around for a UNIT reunion and when they turned up it was to discover there was an awful lot of former and active UNIT personnel around along with other former companions (Ace, well I can dream can't I?) and then they insulted the brigadier from Battlefield you know the one who bashed open the top of a mini so she could hose down some armoured knight with smg fire.

Whilst they think they may have the clout I seriously don't fancy their chances if they annoyed either of the Brigadiers!
