Towards the beginning of the show, when Clark announced he was leaving Smallville. He said his neighbor. Ben Hubbard would watch his farm. Was Ben Hubbard the Uncle in Spiderman?

That was Ben Parker. Ben Hubbard was the name of the Kents' neighbor in the Superman movies.

No, I know that sounds familar but no. It's Unlce Ben in Spider-Man, Ben Parker.

Ben Hubbard's name was metioned. Cool. His name was also metioned in Prototype. He's this character who is heard from Clark in Superman: The Movie. And he was going to be in Superman Returns as Martha's new boyfriend apparently, but they cut all the scenes of him out and he never had a part in the movie.

Ben Parker was Peter Parker's uncle. There was also a Ben Reilly who was the Spider-Man clone created by the Jackal.

yea it is the second time ben hubbard has been mentioned maybe later in the season they will actually cast someone as him.

Actually, it's the third time he's been mentioned. The first time was in Lockdown when Jonathan sold the back 40 acres. He said, "I've never done anything with it. Ben Hubbard's been dying to get his hands on it."

In the movies, Ben Hubbard helps out at the farm and takes care of Martha after Jonathan died. At least, I think that's how it was.

I think it would be cool if Ben Hubbard was played by Jeff East (the actor who played teenage Clark Kent in Superman the movie).
