Did Clark remind anyone else of Jonathon during that scene?

Yeah, he did now that you mention it.
Now Kara needs to return the favor & teach him how to fly. ;)

In that scene, watching Clark was exactly like watching Jonathan when Clark first developed super hearing.
Kara is just what Clark needs in his life right now...

I am actually hoping we get a scene of Clark turning on all sorts of noisy devices the way Jonathan did and whispering to Kara so she can learn to hone her super hearing. Not a whole scene of it. But if a scene began that way, in Clark's barn, when suddenly Chloe rushes in with some sort of announcement... it probably won't happen, but it would be nice.

Nice, I like they don't have Kara swooping in like lady know it all.

They'll have things to teach each other.

I've really enjoyed the scene. Clark was calm and very good at instructing on exactly how she should handle her superhearing and Kara's excited little squeal, "Kal-El! I can hear it!" made me smile.

I will remember that scene for a long time, I never thought I would see our BDA actually teach anyone anything. My apologies to Clark.
Clark teaching Kara how to use her hearing was great writing and memorable.

ya i think that was what it was kind of showing. that mr kent taught clark in a clam relaxing way and clark used what his dad taught him about being human and taught kara the same way. im sure if he was raised kryptonian he would have been more harsh with her.

I was hoping he'd mention Jonathan, but he didn't. Good scene, though.

i think considering how clark developed his superhearing that TPTB chose a cheap way of giving kara her superhearing clark got his power through an accident and he correctly assumes in this ep that kara has the power and just needed to concentrate to harness it

also clark having superhearing sort of made him different from the pack in terms of all the other kryptonians that have been on smallville
