View Full Version : Do we know more about who saved Lana?

I'm convinced that Clark thinks that Lana is dead. That leaves the MM as the only option in my opinion. Oliver isn't fast enough to accomplish the switch unless of course they were able to get the clone to live and that was who was talking to Lionel. I don't see how that was possible unless the blood from the boy went directly into the Lana clone because the Doc was killed too soon to do anything.

It could have been bart working with oliver as another option.

I never thought of Bart. Great idea. That makes sense and explains why the MM didn't tell Clark that Lana is alive. Thanks.

The Justice League (using Bart to rescue her), Martian Manhunter, or Lana did it herself. The first two are cool options, but I'm most inclined to believe that she did it herself. She started to get in the car, the van rolled by and she hopped inside. Who she called in to drive the van is another question, as their timing would have to be precise for her to get in and close the door by herself that fast.

I'm sticking with my opinion that OQ helped her. (Keep in mind I haven't seen it yet.)

Why would he help her? He barely knows her....

Because Lana tells him she is a victim of evil Lex Luthor. She knows that they are rivals back from "Reunion".

Actually, now that I think about it my OQ/JLA theory was pretty reliant on Chloe acting as a go-between. Since she didn't know Lana was dead, that theory's pretty dead in the water. Maybe Lana took one of Lex's supersoldiers?

I think that Lana planned it after she found out about the pregnacy... i just hate to see Lana so evil. I actually felt bad for Lex... the tears... wow.
I think that OQ helped her, as well as Martian Manhunter. It seems that she was in China for quite a while. So she must have planned it months ago. I guess we will just have to wait and see.

Lana's a smart girl, she had this planned out all ahead of time. She had all of the Luthor resources at her command really. And we can't naive to think that she didn't pick up a thing or two living all those months with the future greatest evil mastermind on the planet :) I think we're reading too much into it and not giving Lana enough credit to think that the JLA had to be involved.

Well the main issue is speed. How did she get from the car to the truck so quickly? The only two options I can think of are either very very precise timing, like whoever drove the truck had practiced this a million times with her. That, or Bart, or MM, or a super-soldier. Since it clearly wasn't Clark those are pretty much our only options. We also have to wonder who drove the truck. Aunt Nell? It had to be someone that she trusted with her life and who could carry out the plan flawlessly.

I always just thought Lana had staged the death herself and jumped in the back of the truck that drove by when her car exploded. Of course, who was driving the truck?

I can't help it...i still think Clark has something to to with it. I hope I'm wrong though! haha

Well, Clark is a vey good actor if he did. Not only did he go almost kill Lex for the ruse, he also lied to MM, Chloe (who was crying on him!) and Lois. I doubt it was him mostly because he attacked Lex.

Maybe it was Kara. She is very fast you know.

Kara didn't arrive until after the dam burst, which was after Lana died.

When will we know? More importantly when will Clark know? Will they drag this out half of the season or will it be resolved shortly? I would think MM would want Clark to finish his training at the fortress and Oliver is goading Clark to leave Smallville and help the Justice League so noone has an interest in Clark finding out.

i dont think any of us knows. theres a lot of possibilities.
lana's character was showing a lot of development from her previous years and it very well may be that she set up her own death for her own safety.

Who says she needs help? That girl dodges death like it's her job! She should be self-sufficient by now.
