Well, now that we've discovered that Jack is the face of boe, does this mean we're going to see more of him in the whoniverse? I know he opted to stay with torchwood, but are we going to see a more evolved jack on his way to becoming the face, or how the devil he becomes on big freakin head?

It kind of struck me as more of a writers (presumably Russell, in this case) as having a 'hey, wouldn't it be cool if' moment. It made sense (well, there's nothing to say Jack wasn't The Face of Boe), answered questions about The Face, told us what was going to happen to Jack...

But I don't think it was included to be the base of future storylines. I could be wrong, but I wouldn't expect to see it coming up again personally.

I imagine if The Doctor encounters The Face of Boe again it will pretty much have to come up. Doctor Who always has such great continuity I can't imagine them having an episode with The Face of Boe and it not being mentioned.

The face of boe was said to come from the 'silver devistation', and thats where the 'professor' said he grew up in utopia... hopefully since it was mentioned twice, we might get to see the tardis visit this silver devistation place at some point.

the face of boe as a face will not be back. He was the star of the new earth trilogy (end of the world, new earth,gridlock) according to RTD's commentary. Maybe if jack came back then it would crop up
