ACT 1

INT. DRAKE CONRAD'S BEDROOM-MORNING

Drake rolls out of bed. He stops while passing the mirror and catches a glimpse of himself . He looks at his hair (which is messed) and wipes a line of drool from the side of his face. He sits for a few seconds more then yawns .He looks at his clock. It flashes 7:00 in red.

Then Drake walks over to his closet and pulls out a black t-shirt and a pair of jeans. He smells the t-shirt and says to himself. “Wearable.“ Then he throws them on his bed for later. Scratching his head he walks over to the door and heads down the hall to the stairs.

After he walks downstairs. He hears the sound of talking and the clinking of plates as he nears the kitchen.

INT. CONRAD KITCHEN

Drake walks in the kitchen. We see a man in his mid 30’s sitting at the table. He is reading the newspaper. He is Carlos Conrad is Drake's father and he is wearing some pajamas right now and he is a tall man about 6ft. 3,clean shaven with short cut light brown hair. But job wise he has a fulfilling one he's a teacher but he teaches at Drake's school Millten High.


Drake (still half asleep) he mutters as he heads to the freezer and picks up a box of waffles.
“Morning dad. “

He sulks over to the toaster pops them in and turns to the man.

Carlos (looking at Drake putting the paper down)
Drake your finally up, well you better get some breakfast then go and get ready for school.

Drake(smirking a bit)
Yeah I’m on it .

Carlos
You weren’t last Monday , or the Monday before that or even the Monday before that .

Drake (while spreading some butter on his waffle and seemingly uninterested in what his dad is saying.)
Yeah ok got it dad, Monday's right.

Carlos shakes his head at Drake then glances at his watch.

Carlos(getting up from the table)
Drake I'm gonna go get ready myself.

Drake(taking a sip of his orange juice)
OK dad.

Carlos leaves the room. and yells from the top of the stairs
TWENTY MINUTES OR YOUR WALKING!

Drake eats a few waffles in a few moments and puts the utensils in the sink. Then he decides to get ready for school. He walks up the stairs to the bathroom to take a quick shower. As he passes the hall mirror he stops short and walks past the mirror again. As he walks past we see his profile in a shadow like image rush by as he rushes by. Drake misses it however. He has a look on his face or suspicion like he saw something else in the mirror. He walks past it again and stops short again to try to catch something , but this time there is nothing there but his reflection. He stares at the mirror in confusion and touches his face and hair then shakes it off to proceed to the bathroom.

INT. DRAKE'S ROOM

He glances at the clothes on his bed and takes his shirt off, tosses it on the floor , (note laundry basket is in view of camera) and put some deodorant on. He walks over to the stereo turns on the radio and back to the bed to put on his jeans. He takes his pants off one leg at a time and begins to slip on his jeans.

He turns to the mirror to check himself. When he looks in the mirror he gets a flash of his body covered by a dark smoke , grinning. Its had red eyes and looked as if it were teasing Drake. He jumps back and shakes his body , runs his hands over his hair , and closes his eyes . he looks back into the mirror and see’s himself normal. He looks at his hand and its normal.

“Today is going to be a weerrriiidd day.“

He stares at the mirror again for a second or two more studying himself .
Then Drake grabs his backpack and walks out his room and down the stairs to the front door.

INT. NEAR THE FRONT DOOR

Then Drake stops as we hear something on the radio downstairs near his dad's laptop.

It is the familiar voice of his mom or known to her fans as Mrs. Alice.

Drake smiles.

Alicia Conrad is 5ft.11 with long locks of black hair. Her frame is a curvy mother’s figure. Also she has the same gray stone eyes as Drake.

Drake knew she was probably wearing her pajamas, with a ponytail and no makeup to work because she was on radio and she always left before he got up in the morning.

Then Drake turns off the radio as we heard the familiar click of his dad's shoes as he crossed through kitchen shoes clacking on the tile.

Drake(looking as his dad walk in wearing his suit for teaching)
Looking sharp dad.

Carlos(smiling)
Thanks. You don't look that bad yourself.
By the way hope you don't mind being seen in the shag mobile today.

Drake(groaning for a sec)
I guess I don’t mind but can you please not call it a shag van?

Carlos (grinning while tying his shoes.)
Why that's what its for.....why if we didn’t ever have that van we would never have you!

Drake (Shocked and a little disgusted)
DAD!

Carlos
I’m kidding , but not about using the van sorry , mom took the truck .

Drake
What do you guys share the truck or something? I thought it was yours since mom is home most of the time.

Carlos
Nah , we both pay for it , we share it , I get it on Tuesday , Thursday , and Saturdays and mom gets it on Mondays Wednesdays and Fridays .

Then the two walked out the front door and up to the blue van adorned with hippie flowers and bumper stickers of classic 70’s bands. in the driveway.

They got in without a word.

Soon after only about 10 or so minutes of driving Carlos parks the van in his regular spot in the Senior parking lot.

Suddenly Drake saw his friends out the car window and he ducks down trying to avoid them .


Carlos(joking a bit) while getting out.
What your not embarrassed are you?
Drake's best friend are Jacob Myers a tall black guy wearing a green shirt and some jeans and his Adidas, a member of the basketball team, and the jokester of the group. Also there is the last part to the trio. Shelly Anderson she is an up and coming young motor cross racer, also she writes a bit. She is a sidelight blond with long flowing hair normally tied back like it is now in a ponytail. She's wearing a purple shirt today and jeans as well.
Carlos gets out and yells to Drake's friends.
“Shelly Jacob , Hey drakes in the van hiding , make sure he gets his lunch and doesn’t talk to any strangers! Oh an Shelly Jacob.... 3rd block be prepared. “

Then Carlos Walked of with his classroom lesson plans in hand.

Shelly
Drake we know your in there

Jacob says knocking on the window.
Aw I think he’s embarrassed!

Drake looked at his hand . It was black and cloudy and shapeless . He screamed . he shook what was where his hand should have been and it went away.

Drake declared getting out.
I am not!

Shelly
Its ok,if I came to school in he hump mobile I might be too.

Drake
Its a shag mobile!
Luckily the bell rang and he headed to his first class.

EXT. IN FRONT OF MILLTEN HIGH SCHOOL

Drake walked over to his friends waiting for him.

Then they all walked together chatting.

Shelly
I can’t believe your failed the quiz!

Jacob
I swear since his dad met me he has it out for me .
Drake running up to them
He doesn’t have it out for you,you just can’t get good grades in History to save your life.

Jacob
Yeah right ok....

Shelly (beginning to walk to the picnic tables as the group follows)

Evan Thomson passed it ....

Jacob
Yeah and Evan’s even blind and reads a brail book and he has better grades than me!

Drake (They sit at the table)
You can make a 3 pointer in the last 4 seconds of the game .

Jacob
Yeah I can toss a ball , he is blind and can get a better grade than me . Whatever . So Drake,what do you think of Rachel’s new arm candy?

Drake
She has a what?

Shelly
Drake , you didn’t know?

Drake
Uh not really. Whatever I don’t care (He says in a tone trying to fool himself while turning to watch Rachel)

Drake(to Jacob)
So how'd the football game go Thursday?

Jacob
Not so good man our team barely won.

Shelly(interrupting)
I have a question. So who's going to the Homecoming dance tomorrow night?

Jacob(smiling)
I am and you guys'll never guess who I'm going with.

Shelly and Drake together(smiling)
It's Anna Rodriguez isn't it.

Jacob
How do you guys do that?

Drake
Well you talk about her constantly EVERY day. But hey I'm glad for ya. You think you can make it to a second date with this one?

Jacob
Dude if you had a date once in a while you would see how hard it can be ok, they want you to pay , they want you to make it special , they want attention.

Drake
Then when they hang on you every second it can get so annoying!

Shelly
Ok when you get back from hanging out with P. Diddy let me know.

Jacob
And who are you going with ?

Shelly
Maybe Jeff Johnson .

Drake
Did he ask you?

Shelly
No

Jacob
Did you ask him?

Shelly
No

Drake
The what do you mean your going?

Shelly
I have an elaborate plan that for me to try to explain to you two would just be an insult to your intelligence so I won’t bother.

Jacob
He doesn’t even know you like him does he?

Shelly
I drop hints

Just when Drake was about to comment ...
Shelly (Changing to subject from her)
Okay now that we know Jacob's date Drake are you going?

Drake(sounding a bit depressed now)
Well I was thinking of just going alone.

Jacob
Come on man there must be some girl here you wanna ask out.

Drake
There is but I'm not sure I can build up the nerve to ask her out.

Shelly
Okay how about this Jacob and I come in as your backup we'll be with you when you ask Rachel.

Drake
I can’t ask her .

Shelly (smiling)
She's married to him you know .
Suddenly the bell rang early for the students to go to class rang breaking Drake and his friends conversation.

Drake
Guys I better get going to English. Ms. Kay is a bit strict on us if we're late.

Jacob
Yeah and I got Algebra way across campus. I better go too.

Shelly watched them leave smiling to herself as she turned toward the science building.

INT. MILLTEN HIGH

Drake walks down a hallway when he hears some voices and laughter coming from the middle of the hallway near the lockers.

The cheerleaders were crowded around Mary Warren. Drake didn't know why Mary put up with all their insults.

But mostly the main one making fun of her was the cheer captain Monica Lee your typical hot brunette girl and cheerleader that was sometimes a bit of a ditz and a jerk to anyone who wasn't a jock or another cheerleader.

Monica(to Mary)
Warren get out've my way I have to get to practice.

Mary(nervously holding her books close to her chest)
Oh sorry.

Suddenly Mary stared at a boy she liked but Monica saw as well.

Monica
That guy your scoping only dates cheerleaders and not nerds like you. Plus that's my boyfriend.
The guy comes over with a football in his hand and takes Monica and begins grossly making out. Monica pulls away and looks at Mary and laughs .

Monica (while playfully reaching her hand up his shirt)
Tim it appears Mary has a bit of a crush .
Tim
Who would you even dream about?

Mary(nervous) turns to leave before she gets any trouble .
Oh sorry Monica I didn't know.
Tim
Oh that is too good. Like you would even have a chance with me!

Monica
Sorry isn't enough this time Warren. Ladies it's time to punish her from trying to steal my man.

Drake glanced back toward his English class but then he heard the laughter of other students as Mary got pushed down on the ground her face covered in makeup sloppily making her look like a clown.

Drake
Ms. Martin Can I use the bathroom?

Ms.Martin turns from teaching and hands him the pass.
Go right ahead

Drake takes it and head out to the hall .

Drake
Tim , Monica really cut it out. Just stop .

Tim (while sizing up Drake)
Shut up Conrad. What are you going to do?

Drake
I will do what it takes to get you to leave this poor girl alone .
Monica giggles

Tim
Lets take it outside

Drake
I don’t want a fight.

Tim
Too bad you asked for it when you even spoke to me lets go .
Drake ‘s hand begins to go black again and his eyes get red. he notices this in the window and runs away as fast as he can .

Monica laughs and pushed Mary down ....
“Tell your little boyfriend , that if he ever runs like that again he will have the whole varsity football team to deal with."

The bell rings and Drake reappears among the students.
Then after they were gone he offered Mary a hand up.

Drake(softly)
Need a hand?

Mary took his hand and he helped her up and handed her the fallen books.

Mary(crying a bit and wiping some of the makeup off)
Thank you. What happened to you?

Drake
No problem. , uh I don't know really.

Mary
What was up with your hand?

Drake
Nothing was wrong with my hand I have no idea what your talking about, Uh glad your ok , I got to go. Uh bye!

Then Drake waves goodbye to her and runs down the hall to exit the scene.


Act 2
INT. HALLWAY-AFTER 1ST BLOCK

Drake walks down the hall holding his English test paper. The camera reveals his test score, a 97. He smiles to himself .
We hear a sound of something slamming against the floor.

He turns around to see a book lay on the floor. Camera shows it as Alexandre Dumas's Three Musketeers . He stuffs his paper in his book bag and picks up the book.

Drake picked it up and jumps to his feet. Camera moves in on A girl with red hair at the same time was reaching for the book,. It shows her feet first which are perfectly manicured with a anklet bracelet around the edge . The bracelet has a distinctive bird charm at the end of it along with a R and a K charm. as they both reach for the book they bump heads as the lift themselves up.
The girl is Rachel Kingston. She has red hair , brown eyes, a curvy build . She has a very casual style , and likes to get trendy once in a while. Today she has a brown wife beater tank top with light brown khaki cargo pants on. She has brown suede flip flops on.

Drake (worried and nervous )
Oh are you ok? I....I.... I am sooo sorry !

Rachel
I’m fine , its alright.
(Scilence) Both look awkwardly nervous

Rachel
Uh , you were my 8th grade math class right?

Drake
Yeah , I think .

Rachel
I remember you , you couldn’t do integers to save your life then . Drake Conrad right?

Drake
Uh Yeah ....wait you remember that? Funny thing , Still can’t . (He smiles an uncomfortable smile.)

(They begin walking down the hall , Rachel first Drake runs to catch up.)

Rachel
Of course how could I forget the kid who made my day a little brighter even if I didn't see it like that on my worse days.

Drake
Wait you forgot you book!

Rachel (Flipping her hair out of her face .)
Oh my gosh , ha that happens sometimes. Thanks. I kinda needed it for a report .

Drake
Did you like it?

Rachel
Haven’t read it yet , the reports due tomorrow.

Drake
That book has like 400 pages in it!

Rachel
I’ll get it done.

Drake
Oh. Hey what are you doing today after school? Besides reading I mean,do you wanna hang out or something?

Rachel (nervously)
Uh no I kinda have something important to do,I’m sorry I wish I could but I can’t .

Drake
Hey if you don’t want to hang out its ok , just say so but you don’t have to lie.

Rachel (Rubbing her head , she looks to the sky and says)
No really I can’t I wish I could say but I can’t

Drake
Well Can I just ask you something?

Rachel(turning and looking at Drake)
What is it?

Drake(a tad nervous)
Would you wanna...maybe if you can...go to the Homecoming Dance with me?

Rachel(looking at him sadly)
I would but I already have...other plans, sorry.

Drake ( Embarrassed )
Oh , I see , of course you would.

Rachel just looks uncomfortable .
Look I’m going to be late for my uh thing, I got to go , I’m sorry. Bye .
She runs out the doors.

Drake (too late , and waves with a single disappointed wave)
Bye.

He turns the walk down the opposite length of the hall.


We see Drake walking outside and Shelly and Jacob run up to him. We see Drake's eyes turn red, he turns around and his arms are engulfed in shadows again. Jacob almost tackling him down to the ground, runs and pushes him from behind. Drake turns around and catches Jacobs arms and twists Jacobs behind his back while Jacob screams in pain and Shelly is yelling for him to stop. Shelly finally takes her book bag off and hits Drake over the head with it , snapping him out if his trance. Jacob falls to the ground his head hitting a nearby tree .
Drake looks around freaked out and begins yelling, I'm so sorry I ...I ... and begins to run.

Jacob (to Shelly)
What the hell was that? I’m going to kick his ass!

Shelly (Holding on to Jacob helping him up)
Something is not right about Drake , you can’t do that , please just calm down before you do something rash,please .

Jacob (walking over to his car)
Whatever . I don’t even want to hear his excuse.

Shelly stands frustrated,by being put between two friends.

EXT. DRAKES BEDROOM

Drake runs up the stairs and slams the door to this room. He walks in sees a picture of him and Jacob together , he takes it and throws it up against the wall. He runs his hands in his hair and fury and stops when he catches a glimpse of himself in the mirror.

Drake
What the hell is this? Ok , (breaths heavily and nervously) I can control this .

He looks in the mirror at his hand

Drake
Uh Go black?

Nothing

Drake
Come on , come on.

Nothing.

Drake
Ok think Drake last time it happened we were , with Jacob , and I was upset. (Now pacing the room.) It also happened when I was with Mary and I was upset. Maybe this is triggered off of my emotions. No that can’t be it If I was upset I would have went off......

Drake looks in the mirror and his whole bottom half is engulfed in a shadow.

Drake
Whoa.

Suddenly Drake hears someone down the hall and he turns quickly toward the door frightened. A knock at the door.

Carlos
Drake? Drake you alright?
Drake still in shadow,now covered to the torso .

Drake
Uh yeah just uh , a little sick .

Carlos
Drake its ok,everything you got I got only slightly bigger.

Drake
Ok dad first of all,ew second of all I am fine.

Drake’s eyes are now red.

Drake
He looks in the mirror and curses to himself .

Carlos
Drake open up now!

Drake
Dad I am fine really

Carlos
I am going to bust this door open on the count of 5 .

Drake rushes to put on sunglasses a jacket and pants and crawls into the bed.

Carlos is counting in the background.

Carlos slams the door open and finds drake with sunglasses a winter parka and sweat pants on in the bed.

Carlos
Ok Drake get up right now.
Drake gets up.
Take off the glasses.

Drake
No .

Carlos
Take them off now. Along with the jacket and pants.
Drake takes them off.

Carlos
What is the matter with you?
We see that drake is perfectly normal.

Drake
I wish I knew.

Carlos
Well you better figure it out. I saw that thing with Jacob today and Just got off the phone with him.

Drake
I cannot believe he called you.

Carlos
No wrong. You sit down right now. (Pushes him down.) You are going to tell me what's up with you two . I called him because I was worried. You know he and Shelly both are worried sick about you.

Drake
Look there is something going on with me and I would rather talk with you with mom later ok?

Carlos
Promise?

Drake
Promise

Carlos
Ok then I guess.
Carlos gets up to leave

Drake
and dad ?

Carlos
Yeah?

Drake
Thanks.

Carlos leaves the room. Drake wipes some sweat from his face and lays back to stare at the ceiling. Then the phone rings. Drake stares at it from across the room and sighs to get up to answer it after a few rings.

Drake
Hello?

Camera goes back and forth from Becca to drake. Becca is walking a dog in a park and on a cell phone

Becca
Hi Drake ?

Drake
Yep.

Becca
Hey its Becca,Becca Hamilton.

Drake
Oh hi.

Becca Hamilton, her eyes almost as blue as the sky. She had medium cut platinum blond hair and she was on the curvy side.

Drakesmiling and looking down for a second. and flipping through t.v. channels)
Hey Becca. So what's up?

Becca(biting her lip nervously)
I was just .....I was wondering if you'd go to the dance with me tomorrow.

Drake(smiling)
Sure..

Becca(smiling and now very happy)
Really! ,I mean really...cool but I suggest you wear black or blue. To you know.. match my dress.

Drake(laughing for a second then smiling)
OK will do. See ya Saturday.
Drake jumps up and down.
Becca dances in the park and starts playing with the dog.

Drake picks up the phone and dials.
Shelly answers and she is shining her motorcycle.
What?

Drake
Uh Hey.

Shelly
What the hell Drake?

Drake
I’ve been asking myself the same thing.

Shelly
What is with you lately?

Drake
I don’t know

Shelly
Is this cause of Rachel?

Drake
No its not besides I have a date

Shelly
With who?

Drake
Becca Hamilton.

Shelly
Oh. Nice.

Drake
Ok well who are you going with?

Shelly
Well Marcus Flint asked me.

Drake
You mean that skateboarder guy?

Shelly
That's the one and he's not so bad I could have got stuck taking you or Jacob. . And don't deny it you would've asked me if you hadn't lucked out , But even if you did the way your acting , I probably would have said no.

Drake
Yeah . Look I have no idea what is going on with me ok ? I just I had a weird moment and that's all I can say.

Shelly
Well you know what? I have moments too. But I don't go and try to beat the living crap out of my friends. Its not a justified answer Drake. Look I got to go ok? I wanna go riding for an hour or so ok? Bye.

Shelly hangs up before Drake can answer.

Drake just sits in silence and stares off.

ACT 3

OUTSIDE NEAR SENIOR PARKING LOT-LATE AFTERNOON

Drake walks towards a senior parking lot when he notices Jacob and Shelly sitting together on top of a picnic table in the nearby lawn.

Drake
Hey

Shelly
(Doesn't look at him.)
Hi.

Jacob
Dude,what the hell do you want? What is wrong with you lately.

Shelly(doesn't say anything but looks at Drake)

Drake(looking at the ground.)
I....I... I am so sorry about yesterday . Jacob , I do not know what was up with me , something is lately and I don’t know what or why and I ...I am so sorry.

Jacob
Your eyes , They were red, and your body , was black , Drake , I have never seen anything like it in my life. Something is wrong with you.

Drake
I...I... I just don’t know , I can’t explain it , but freak out in mid moment , I’m sorry.

Shelly continues to just sit and watch what's going to happen next.

Jacob
Look dude, I’m your best friend , I have been since practically the crib, if you need help , let me know,you can trust me,but don't shrug off the fact that you tried to kill me .

Drake
I know , I know , but I swear I don't even know what happened, I wouldn’t lie to you if I knew what's up but I don't. I have to go catch a ride with my dad, I’m sorry . Truce ?

Jacob looks at him sincerely for a moment

They both shake hands in a best friends secret handshake kind of thing.

Jacob
Truce.

Then Carlos appears out've a door to the side of a building.

Carlos(smiling at the trio)
How are you kids?

Drake (doesn’t say much but just says fine . ) Shelly ( winces a smile then puts her head down and begins to pick at her nails.)

Jacob
Great Mr. Conrad

Carlos (smiled and motioned to Drake)
Come on son we gotta get you ready for the dance.

Drake(staring in suprise at his dad)
Dad how'd you know about that?

Jacob
Yeah By the way , Score dude. Jacob said going for a high five and Drake looked at him and didn’t high five back , leaving Jacob with a stupid embarrassed look on his face.

Carlos(smirking)
Well , I wanted to test a rumor to see if it was true, guess it worked. You really are going to the dance, so are you going alone?

Jacob(chiming in)
Nope Mr.C,Drakey's goin with Becca.

Carlos(smiling,intrigued)
Becca?

Drake
Jacob,how did you know ?

Jacob
A little birdy named Shelly

Drake
SHELLY!!

Shelly
What? Not like no else in the school knew by 2nd block today anyway . I was merely improving Jacob on his social stance , by knowing what everybody is doing for the dance.

Drake(blushing a bit)
She's this girl I know she asked me actually.

Carlos
Ah. Well son your carrying on a grand tradition that's how your mom roped me in.

Drake smiled and his dad ruffled his hair and unlocked the car.

Then Shelly said goobye.

Shelly(waving playfully)
Bye Drakey, and Mr. Conrad.

Drake nodded before hopping into the van and he saw his dad smile and wave and get in as well.

Soon the van had zoomed out've the parking lot and was on it's way home.

INT.CARLOS'S VAN

As Carlos drove Drake was a bit curious why they'd left earlier then usual.

Drake
So dad why did we leave so early?

Carlos(smiling)
Your mother wants us to listen in on the show tonight. Something she said you might be interested in. Probably something about you two's fascination with those metahumans...mutants whatever they're called.

Drake(now a bit more excited)
Really? Cool, so when does mom's show start tonight?

Carlos(still watching the road as he drove)
Tonight it starts at about 6 or 7 well one good thing you get some time to do what you want. I got tests to grade so you get to get ready for your date tomorrow.

Drake(blushing again)
It's not a date Becca and I are friends...I...think.

Then Carlos and Drake were quiet for the remainder of the drive.

They pull up to the house and go inside.

INT.CONRAD HOUSE-DRAKE'S ROOM

We see Drake sitting on his bed staring at a suit hanging from his closet .
Camera zooms in on the suit. Black jacket, white undershirt, and black pants.

But now he was tapping his pencil on his desk near his bed, bored.

Suddenly he drops his pencil and he reaches for it. He is shocked when he see’s it floating in midair.

Camera zooms into him looking into the mirror and we see him with red eyes.

Then we see the pencil hit the ground.


Drake
What just happened?

We Hear Carlos calling .

DRAKE!!

Drake then gets up and walks out down to the kitchen.

Then he and his dad sat near a radio in the kitchen.

Suddenly Alicia's show began.

Alicia(her voice is a bit loud and somewhat peppy over radio)
Hello everybody. Looks like I have well known geneticist, Evan Reeve, in the studio tonight. Mr. Reeve I'm a little curious what news do you have to share?

Evan(he has a bit of a cold voice and low)
Well Mrs. Conrad I have some somewhat interesting news tonight. It seems individuals with certain...abilities are popping up in many city across the state. One is said to be able to....disguise himself and other reports say a young girl from Miami can control water.

Alicia
Are these...individuals as you call them dangerous?

Evan
Some Mrs. Conrad. But what I wish to do is find some way to help them. I know some of those...mutants are children if not teens. I don't want them to live their lives trapped in a curse.

Alicia
Well alright Mr. Reeve,oh sorry sir looks like we ran out've time. Well goodnight everyone. I will "see" you all Monday morning at the usual time and I'd like to thank our special guest for his report, goodnight everybody.

Carlos flipped the radio's off switch.

Carlos
Looks like we tuned in a bit late.

Drake
Oh well. I uh have math homework to do anyways.

Carlos
Wait a minute Bud,we always talk about the show.

Drake ( trying to get out of it .)
I know but I have a lot to do.

Carlos
Come here you can spare 10 minutes.

Drake drags his feet to a chair and sits down.

Carlos
But I do pity some of them some must be scared though, I mean imagine being able to do some werid things I mean what would it be like to wake up one day and be totally weird .

Drake(softly staring out the window into the darkening sky)
Yeah I bet they are...

Carlos
What?

Drake

Nothing. Dad I got to go.

Drake gets up and walks away and we see his dads confused expression.


INT. RACHEL'S HOUSE
We see Rachel sitting in her room in an indian style postion . She looks like she is trying to mediatate or something. She has concentration on her face . We hear a glass break and yelling . It breaks her concentration she looks to the door.

Suddenly the door burst open and Danny Kingston walks into the room smelling of beer and a mess. He has your stereotypical pants open and stained wife beater on. His eyes are red from tears and he begins yelling at her. “ What did you do with the hot dogs? “

Rachel
Gee I don’t know Danny why don’t you look in the refrigerator.

(Furious runs to her height on the floor, pulls her hair and begins yelling in her face )

Danny
What did I tell you about calling me that?

Rachel
Your not my father , at least not anymore. Hot Dogs are in the refrigerator why would a vegetarian like me steal them anyway?


As soon as he saw her his hands formed into fists.

Danny
You take that attitude an your going to be real sorry.

Rachel doesn’t respond but begins to try to meditate again.

Rachel
Ever since mom died you are such an *******. Get away from me.


Suddenly he throws himself at Rachel and beat on her. He pulls her hair and slaps her in the face. She takes a near by pen,stabs him in the leg and runs away .

Camera follows her running down her street to a nearby park. She sees a certain tree. She stops looks around then climbs it.

We hear a cracking noise like snapping twigs and she falls. We see she has blood going down her arm from a cut and see a twig dripping with blood. She rubs it in pain then drops to the ground. She places her hands on her back and twists in terrible pain.

Rachel(through her teeth .)
Oh no not now!

As she is grabbing at her back she screams in pain. Looking around we see there‘s no one else around. Camera catches just her face. We hear a rip of a shirt and she suddenly looks like the pain is gone. Camera fades out to just a view of the sky and the tree she fell from and then we see her get up slowly and we see she has wings across her back. She moves her shoulder like she is readjusting her bone structure. She reaches back and sees the wings and feels them.

Rachel (Sarcastically)
What an awsome time!

She looks around and then no one is around she flys off. Camera follows her up past the tree as she fades into the blinding sunlight.

INT. MARY'S HOUSE-MARY'S ROOM

Mary walks through the door past her mom and dad in the kitchen. Then she throws herself onto the bed in her room.

Mary
Those cheerleaders were soooo frustrating.

Mary rubbed her face suddenly she heard something in her closet. She ran over and opened the door.

Suddenly something fell from the closet and hit her foot.

She looked down and saw the skin of her foot through her sandal was...flat as a board suddenly it popped right back up again with a strange squelching noise.

Then she ran her hand along the box and her fingers bent around it.

Then she smiled and muttered.

Mary
Those bimbos are gonna get a big surprise tomorrow night.

Then she smiles viciously as her fingers popping back into place.

It's nice that he helped Mary....Evil cheerleaders...

Love how that in the beginning Jacob, Shelly, and Drake are such good friends.

ACT 4

INT. DRAKE'S ROOM-SATURDAY AFTERNOON

Drake is laying on his back on his bed dressed for the dance and looking at the white ceiling. he looks at the time and the clock says ‘5:43’.


He looks nervous and is just blank stare at the celing.
A knock at the door surpirses him. He rises to answer it .

Shelly(Off Screen)
Drake it's me Shelly.

Drake opens the door and Shelly walks in.

Shelly’s hair is in long thick curls , she is wearing a long dark purple dress and some silver high heels.

Drake
Hey Shelly, what's up with this visit?

Shelly(smiling)
Well I can't annoy Jacob because he's out getting stuff for the dance.

Drake
Still,the dance is only like an hour away.

Shelly
I know that's what I told him but hey he wants to make things perfect with Ann tonight.

Drake(smirking)
You think it'll work?

Shelly
Maybe. But I am willing to wager on it. 5 bucks says he'll mess up at least once tonight.

Drake
You think ? I don’t know he’s not all that bad. Wanna bet on it ?5 dollars says he does fine. But doesn't make it to date 2. Just because he’s Jacob.

Shelly
Your on. I bet 5 bucks he either trips , says something rude , or steps on her feet or dress.

Drake (smiling)
Okay .

Shelly
Hmm what to spend my new 5 dollars on.

Drake
Yeah right, keep dreaming.

Shelly (starts picking the lint off Drake’s suit jacket.)
I wish you luck tonight , Becca’s a nice girl .

Drake
Thanks.

Shelly (as she is fixing his hair and playing with it.)

Why did you do your hair like this,you look like such a dweeb .

Drake (Sarcastically.)
Only because I know it would drive you nuts , I purposely said, hey I think I am going to do my hair like ( uses fingers in air quotes ) “a dweb” just so I can have you baby me .

Shelly
Well thank God I came here and fixed it .

Drake
Whatever Shelly.

Shelly
Well I’m going to go . See you later okay? Me and Marcus are going out first then to the dance.

Drake
Sure, and Shelly?

Shelly
Yeah?

Drake
You look beautiful today . I’ve never seen you like this. I’m sorry your parents couldn’t be around today .

Shelly
If you want to call them parents then fine , but it’s okay I’m not. In my opinion Gerald has always been more of a father to me. Who knew a butler could help you with all of this!

Drake smiled as Shelly walked out.

He looked at himself in the mirror and admired how Shelly had fixed his hair.

He smiles and fixes it how he had it before.

Then he picks up a flower for Becca and hold it in the mirror. He pretends talking to himself handing it to her.

Drake

Becca,you look amazing. No thats not original enough.

Drake (frusterated)

Becca,you,here,this is for .... No to nervous.

Then a knock at the door again.


We see Carlos standing there looking at Drake. His mother Alicia is there beside him she covers her mouth .

Alicia
My little boy,he’s all grown up .

Drake
Mom! Stop it .

Alicia
What? I had to do it at least once. What kind of mother would I be if I didn’t .


Carlos
Come on,let’s go your going to be late .

Drake
Your coming too ?

Carlos
I’m chaperoning.

Drake
Couldn’t you say no for just once?

Carlos
Then how would I be able to embarrass you then?

Drake groans.

Then they get in the car and begin driving to the school.


EXT: MILTEN HIGH GYM
Drake and Carlos get out of the van Drake walks away quickly to catch up with Jacob and Anna who we see in the distance.

Jacob is dressed in black and white also.

Anna is wearing a dark red dress and also some black high heels. She has long dark hair and an athletic form. She has Hispanic features and a bit of an accent.

Drake(smiling)
Hey you two.

Jacob(smiling back)
Hey Drake, still waiting for your date I see.

Drake
Yeah she'll be here soon though. But you two go ahead.

Jacob
Alright.

Jacob and Anna go inside.

Drake begins to watch all the people getting out of cars and limos.

Moments later Shelly and Marcus arrive in one of Shelly‘s family town cars.

Drake (waves)

Hey Gerald!

Gerald (waves)

Hey man!

Marcus is wearing black pants,one of those tuxedo t-shirts,and a powder blue jacket. His hair is decently combed straight.

Drake
Shelly I thought....

Shelly
Eh , we decided to go out later with everyone else. It wouldn’t be me if things weren’t a little unorthodox.

Drake smiled.
I’m going inside, in a little, trying to avoid my dad.

Shelly (laughing)
Okay .

Shelly walks away .

We see Drake smiling as he watched Shelly and Marcus laughing and then we see a hand tap his shoulder. He turns around to reveal Becca.

Her platinum hair is at neck length. It is done up a bit and a tad curly. And her dress is a darkened blue and she is wearing black heels.

Drake stares at Becca until she comes closer.

Drake extremely nervous,is shaking a little hands her the rose and smiles.


Her face lights up and she flashes him a pearly white smile.
Drake smiles back wide.

Becca(happy and glancing at the rose)
Oh Drake, it's beautiful!

Becca smiles a bit , glancing back and forth from the rose to him for a few moments.

Becca (looks sad for a moment.)

I am sorry , I got you a flower for you suit, and then I picked it up today and I dropped my phone,I put it on top of the car,and,I am so sorry.

Drake
Aw, it’s okay really, that’s all decoration anyway. Being with you is what really counts.

Drake hugs her.

Drake(offering Becca an arm to hold)
I think we'd better get going or else the punch'll be gone.

Becca smiled as she grabbed Drake arm and they walked inside.

INT. GYM

Inside the two were surprised by how the school had decorated the gym . It was covered it green streamers and cardboard trees. It was jungle themed. With White and Blue hints (the school colors.) there were bowls of punch and some snacks to the left and right and also the small square like stage where the Calling stood playing.

The stage reveals the band as the lights begin to hit the band.

Drake glances at Becca.

Drake
Care to dance?

Becca smiles. They walk onto the almost glowing dance floor.

The music softens as all the couples get close.

And Drake and Becca slowly do the same. They begin to try hold each other.

Both of their expressions are nervous.

Suddenly the band plays Wherever You Will Go.

As the song nears it's end Drake and Becca kiss. And they hold it for awhile. Suddenly the sprinklers came on dousing everyone in water.

Many run out and Drake and Becca do as well as Shelly, Marcus, Anna, and Jacob and we even see Carlos.
As they got outside everyone heard a loud scream.

Drake looks toward the inside window and he takes a deep breath.

Drake
Becca I'm gonna go in there for a sec and see what's wrong alright. Just wait for me.

Then Drake runs to the side of the building going through the back doors.

ACT 5

INT. MILLTEN HIGH GYM
Drake runs further into the gym.

We see Mary standing over Monica with the boyfriend seemingly passed out.

Drake stands back a few moments.

Mary(standing over Monica and her boyfriend Todd)
Monica tonight is where you get what you deserve. But lucky for you it'll only hurt a minute.

Monica starts crying a bit.

Monica(sobbing)
Please don't hurt me. I didn't mean any of those things I said about you.

Mary(pacing around Monica and Todd)
That may be but your words hurt all the same. Now it's time for you to pay. And first I'll take what you care for the most!

Mary's hand begins shifting into a mace like object complete with spikes.

Drake watches in amazement.

Drake’s eyes go red. We see the punch bowl begin to levitate and it floats over Mary. It spins in the air,then drops right over Mary.

Monica looks in fear and takes Todd who has began to wake up a little and stir,and drags him towards the door.

Drake(to Monica and Todd)
You two get out of here and I'll be right behind you.

They both nod nervously and exit.


Drake turns to leave. He begins walking towards the door.

We see what looks like elastic arms shoot around his waist and pull him back . They pull him and slam him against the ground.

Mary(angry)
Drake you ruined everything! I was going to get back at her like I'd always wanted.

Drake’s eyes are back to normal now.

He winces a stare at Mary while in pain.

Drake (rubbing his shoulder and trying to pull the arms out from around her.)
What by killing her?

Mary(angrier and even crying a bit)
She deserves death for what she put me and a few other girls through.

Camera zooms in on the arms beginning to loosen around Drake very slightly.

Mary sobbing with mascara down her cheeks glares at Drake in anger.

Drake
You deserve justice but murder is never the answer Mary.

Mary(smiling evilly)
No,she deserves to be killed and you won't stand in my way!

We see the arms release and then the left arm forms into a mace again.

Drake runs and ducks under a table. The mace hand hits the table breaking it into splinters. Drake looks around in fear but manages to get to his feet.

Mary keeps at him as he runs in circles.

He dodges her continued assault and runs out the back.

Mary follows.

Outside Drake fakes left and runs into an older looking building.

INT. MILLTEN SHOP/METAL SHOP BUILDING

Drake is in the shop room. He slams the door shut and hides under a table in the back .

Camera zooms in on the door and we see something oozing through under the door .

Camera follows from feet to the top as the goo begins to reform into a body and stops at Mary’s face.

Mary begins to look around the room,looking in corners while stretching her hands out to other area’s of the room,lifting and tossing old objects .

Mary
Drake,you can’t hide from me. Give up already.

She turns around and spots Drake under the table.
Her hands shoot out , pinning Drake against a wall.

Mary(smiling)
I'm sorry it has to end this way Drake. But I can't have you messing with my plans. Though you were always so nice to me. I promise you a quick death.

Her hand forms into a hardened cinder block looking object.

Drake shuts his eyes. He opens them and they are red. We see his body begin to engulf in shadows once again.

We see the hand frozen in midair with the rest of her body moving around squirming trying to move her hand. She has shock spread across her face.

Mary(shocked)
What...how did you...do that?

Drake(smirking)
Your not the only special person around here.

Drake notices her shadow,against the moonlight through the window of the class room.

He begins to stare at the shadow in concentration.

Mary
I'm stuck, what's going on?

We see the shadow is stuck . Drake begins to twist his right hand in a circular motion and we see the shadow of Mary begin to twist in a spiral,then we see Mary yelling in pain.

Then Drake notices the welding torch in the corner.

We see Drake look at the gas and then the knob on the teachers desk turn.

The torch begins to levitate until it is in his hand.
He loses concentration on Drake and she drops.

Mary (Climbing to her feet)
Alright Drake , enough already,(screams) Let me finish you already!

She dives for Drake as he drops the torch.

He hand goes around his neck as it forms a wrench and begins to tighten around his neck .

His eyes go red again as he begins mouthing the words torch to himself but not speaking.

Mary (While covering his mouth.)
Stop it!

Drake (Choking now) takes the torch and pulls the trigger towards her hand.

Mary screams and yelps to the ground.

We see her hand is melted and smoking and skin is dripping on the ground.


We see Drake begin to bleed from the corners of his eyes, he wipes his eyes , notices it , and finds a mirror. He looks in the mirror to see the bleeding has stopped.

Drake saw Mary still on the ground crying holding her hand.

Mary(Sobbing with a vengeful tone.)
I’m not done,you will pay Conrad!!

Mary used the other hand to pull Drake back. She takes the torch and presses it to his arm.

He screams in pain.

Drake’s eyes go red one more time,and we see the gas knob go down. A saw lifts into the air and floats across, it floats right about Mary’s leg. Then slides across the leg slightly cutting the leg a little.

Mary yelps in pain.

Drake took the torch again,and held it to Mary’s face. Suddenly Mary batted it aside. It clattered to the ground.

Drake(walking away)
I'm not going to kill you but if you ever go after a single soul again,I will make sure you are put somewhere,where you will never,be able to hurt another thing again.

Mary cried some more as he walked away.

Mary(angrily still sobbing)
Don't you walk away from me!

We see him walk to the door without turning back to her.

Suddenly Mary's good arm flies toward him shifting into a large knife like projection.

Drake turns and his eyes turn red and he motions her knife hand in the opposite direction but to his horror her hand punctures a machine and sparks fly and hit the torch still on silently spouting flame on the floor.

Drake looks back wondering if he could save her. But we see flames begin to shoot up her arms and spread.

Drake runs out with a look back.

In the hall we see the burn on Drakes arm.

Then Drakes body up to his neck becomes engulfed in shadow.

Drake looks at his body,examining how each limb has changed.

The shadows leave his body and he is back to normal.

Camera reveals that the burn on his arm is gone.

Drake looks around and then runs a hand through his hair . He walks away,down the stairs of the building.

He walks over to the gym and finds that everyone is gone .

EXT.FRONT OF THE GYM-NIGHT

We see the fire department coming out of the gym. The police talking to Carlos and other teachers.

We see Drake frantically running through the crowd .

He saw Becca sitting on a bench alone. She was typing on her cell phone.

We see Shelly come up to Drake.

Shelly
Are you okay,your shirt is ripped and you look like hell!

Drake
I’m fine,are you okay?

Shelly
Yeah,yeah,Jacob too don’t worry.

Drake (Running off towards Becca.)
Okay great. Talk to you later.

He walked over to the bench and sat down next to Becca taking her hand.

We first see his hand take hers. Then we see Becca joyfully surprised to see Drake. She hugs him tight and rests her head on his shoulder.

Becca(happy yet smiling)
Drake I was so worried about you. But I'm just glad your okay. Where .... where did you go?

As Drake hugs her and whispers softly.

Drake(holding her.)
It’s not important,it’s just I am so happy you are okay .

They embrace and kiss one more time,then hold each other.

EXT.WOODED AREA NEAR RACHEL'S HOME

We see Rachel sitting back in the tree from before. Her wings are still out and she is just picking at the tree.

She jumps out of the tree . We see her close her eyes and go back into Indian style position like she is about to meditate.

Her left wing begins to fold into itself. Each feather cascading into a smaller fold and grove until they seem to creep into her back. The right one follows.

She gets up and brushes the dirt off her pants and begins to walk down the street.

She turns the street to walk into the front door of her house.

Danny Kingston is sitting on the couch infront of the TV. The room is dark and we only see the glare of the light against the TV.

Rachel stares at him for a moment then walks over to him and sits on the arm of the couch next to him. She places her hand on his shoulder.

Rachel(caringly)
Are you alright now dad?

Danny(looking at her smiling)
Yes princess I'm sorry for what I did it was like I could see what I was doing, I, I just. couldn't stop myself. When I woke up today I came out of it but I'm truly sorry your the most important thing to me left in this world.

Danny begins to sob.

Danny
If I lose you,I lose everything.

Then he hugs him as the tears fall across her shoulder.

She embraces him , as tears start to water from her eyes .

EXT. REMAINS OF SHOP BUILDING-LATE NIGHT

A limo is parked outside of the old shop building.

First out walks Yin Lee a beautiful Asian woman but clad all in black and wearing a dark leather jacket. She is about 5ft.10 and is wearing sunglasses and her raven hair was flowing in the wind.

Next another came a Caucasian man. Clad in black, Austin Moores a bit short at 5ft.6 he has spiked brown hair and he is wearing shades too but he has on no jacket and is wearing a black short sleeved shirt revealing tanned and muscular arms.

And finally out steps Evan Reeve a tall man at 6ft. he is taller then his minions and he had a clean shaven face and hair mixed white and gray. And instead of all black he wears gray and white.

Evan motions for the two to search the building.

The man and the woman come out with Mary in their arms.
Mary is covered in dirt and blood. Her hands are still melted and burnt. She has mascara stained cheeks .

Evan looks at her and begins to feel her hands. He rolls them and begins to smooth them out.

They smooth back into round balls of a play dough like look.

Evan glances at Yin and Austin before finally speaking.

Evan
She will work . An excellent specimen. Put her in the car. And put a straight jacket on her,her power seems to come from her hands.

Austin puts the Mary into the limo.

Yin pulls even by the shoulder and looks him in the eye.

Yin
Sir I also found this in my search. It might mean there was someone else involved in this little incident.

Yin held up a small ring with the inscription of D.C. on it .

Evan(glancing at it before putting it in his pocket)
Good work Yin I'll see if anyone can give me answers about that back at the lab. But for now we have to go. I have a meeting with my son tomorrow.

Yin
Yes sir.

Then the two walk back to the limo and get in.

We see the limo drive off into the darkness.
