Who's with me?? Lana is becoming more like a Luthor as each week passes!! First, she threathened the cops, then she used the gun to open the briefcase.

Not to mention she seems to have gained an incredible amount of knowledge and skill with that gun, plus she made sure to turn up the music and put the gun away.

Maybe she should have just cried and hoped someone would solve her problems? Better yet, maybe she should have expected the government to help her out.
For my money, you have to beat people like the Luthors at their own game. As long as you know when the game ends and you know when to quit playing, it's all good.
Oh and BTW, she's absolutely right about her husband's property and a lack of a search warrant for the car. Unless they could explain to a judge why Lex was the suspect of a criminal act, that briefcase was evidence of nothing.

Lana blew me away in this episode. She truly is a Luther. She was willing to let Lex die down there and kill Lionel in his hospital bed. She should be Lex's wife. Clark is to good and noble for her now! She has turned to the dark side and I love it!!!

I agree. It's awesome how Lana's becoming a full fledged Luthor. I think she's shown signs of it in the past, but this episode was a tour de force.
Threatening Lionel was pretty good and so was how she opened the suticase, but letting Lex die? That was a big surprise for me since she has seemed so loyal to him even when she threatened others in the past. And when she was walking towards Clark at the end, I realized how well dressed she was. Looked like exactly a female Luthor would wear. I thought to myself, that the wardrobe department did a good job. But the icing on the cake was the guilt trip and deft use of words she used on Lex. She's become quite adept at being manipulative, jockeying for political positioning, and exploiting people. IMHO, she's a distrubing combination of traits that Lionel and Lex exhibit, and . . . I LOVE IT!!! :p

Being a Luthor has given Lana power.
Just in this epi she was able to get in to see Lionel, she was given power of Lionel's medical decisions, she was able to get the briefcase from the police, she had the resources to get into the briefcase and examine their contents, the police listened to her when she knew where another entrance to the tunnels may be.
Go Mrs. Luthor! Lana has the power now and she's finally going to use it.

Absolutely loved it. And she is a totally different person now; not the girl that Clark fell in love with. I am hoping that will be the key to their closure...that they are both different people now and they woudn't work anymore.

This is a penultimate Lana episode. There's no mistaking she has the biggest role here, and the range is amazing. She's the last person you want to marry under false pretenses.
