OK, now I see where this is going.

With Linderman thinking that Peter is dead, and Sprague has disappeared, (therefore leaving no one who can go nuclear) he's decided to use Mica's powers to infiltrate Norad and send a nuke to blow up New York.

The finale will have Peter absorbing Sprague's power, flying up to the nuke and sending out an EMP to knock it out.

That way Peter can explode as the paintings showed him doing, save NY at the same time, and be back next season as a hero, rather than a villain.

Another solution if the nuke doesn't come by missile, but is in NY somewhere is Peter sending out a massive EMP, knocking out all the power in Manhattan while disabiling the nuke. That would cause a lot of trouble, but would ultimately save the city.

thats what the novels say happened before Hiro delivered the Save the Cheerleader message. After Hiro got back the cheerleader was still alive and the bomb had still exploded.

i also think linderman will trick micah into rigging the election. as for your idea about the nuke, your acting like peters superman. just taking the power out in new york would be way 2 easy

yea i think the same, especially since Linderman said he wasn't going to leave it to chance for Nathan to win the election (didn't he? i cant remember exactly what he said when talking to Nathan)
