I think he should of taken credit for taking Lana to the hospital, it would of earned him some more "hero" points in Lanas eyes, maybe then he would of gotten more out of her in thier conversation

well then he would have had to explain why he was there in the first place....and more secrets. So I'm not sure that would have gone so well. IMO :)

I don't think he would get more of their conversation. Said conversation would turn to playing their favorite game - Secrets and Lies.

Lana in the hospital. So was she in her regular room? haha

Besides, Clark isn't interested in earning "hero points". That isn't why he helped Lana, or why he helps anyone.

Exactly. I don't think Lana would have been grateful at all...she would immediately jump into 20 questions...which Clark obviously can't answer without revealing his secret.

Clark isn't that sort of guy. This "winning points in Lana's eyes" thing is very evident in Lockdown, but other than that I really don't recall him doing so because of an ulterior motive. Even when people walk all over him or give him a hard time, he still helps out.

i agree with that, but i thought with all the developments in recent epis, lana would have asked how she got there...

Lana needs no explanations now. :D Didn't she say you don't have to explain anything to me in Promise?

But I still want to see her face when Clark finally tells her, "I'm an alien, and not just any alien, but the alien who came to Smallville in that meteor shower 20 years ago."

i agree she doesn't need an explanation, and even if she asked, clark would have just lied, but i thought it was OOC for her not to ask.

but there's plenty of crap i wanna see the look on her face when she finds out...the way chloe was before, you can understand how she probably reacted to a lot of conversations that happened in offscreenville, but lana needs to have a couple hammers drop conversationally where we can see it happen...

i agree with u guys that he doesnt need to "win points" but it would have softened her up a little knowing hes still there for her and maybe she would of put her gaurd down..... just wishfull thinking i guess

yeah, but it isn't her guard that's up so much...it's his...he still isn't over the wedding, and so he won't share stuff he doesn't absolutely have to...

Not anymore; She knows his secret now so she wouldn't have said anything and just thanked Clark without question. Other than that their conversation would've ended the same with Clark asking her what the deal was on her wedding day telling him she wanted to see him.

Yes, she knows his secret- but no one but Lionel knows that she knows, including Chlark. Slippery slope there- she's been avoiding all mention of it as to ward off ackward eye contact, or something.

Something tells me Lana is in no mood for a heartfelt talk about feelings the way she keeps stonewalling Clark about her slutty actions in Promise.

lana gets frequent concussion miles. every ten concussions, she gets to stay in the VAP (very accident prone) hospital room. she's been in that room 5 times now. ;)
